Park Court For What

4.5

Quality of rooms - 4 Fun/Atmosphere - 5 Location - 5
Safety - 4 Management - 4 Value - 4

It's a perfect location for first time students, going in to my second year I only wish I was staying in PC again, it's fun, friendly and the atmosphere is brilliant, the office staff Helen and Fenna are lovely too, always smiling and willing to help you out if and when you need them. When I was there, there seemed to be a divide between what was nicknamed the North side and the South side of PC because the North side enjoyed going out, sitting on the benches and playing music etc, I do admit as a North sider the noise levels could get a little out of hand but if people only came and spoke to us nicely we would quite happily of quietened down, we don't bite and so that caused a lot of friction between people as 90% of the place thought it was unfair the way certain tenants were being treated, blamed and fined all the time. Overall though it's 5 minute walk from town and 10 minutes from Lincoln uni (obviously longer if you go to BG). It's perfect on a night out you can crawl home and be in bed within minutes of leaving the club and it's such a safe environment to be in compared to other accommodations that I won't mention. I met some wonderful people in my year at Park Court and I would go as far as to say I consider them life long friends/family. The flats are perfect for what first time students need, the only downside I would say and obviously to cover costs etc I can see why it's done is that individual flats don't have a tv/living room area for people to chill in, I think that would be the cherry on the cake for PC as having one massive common room with a pool table that was often out of action and one TV between hundreds of students can cause problems with regards to who wants to watch what and when. The washing room is adequate although it sucks you cant use up loose change to make the £3:50 in total to wash and dry clothes, and sometimes depending on what machine you get some clothes don't wash properly and some don't dry properly either. On a whole the place is wonderful and clean and friendly, the bins are emptied regularly, cleaners make sure the blocks and staircases are cleaned etc. Highly recommend the place!

Park court is about £20 per week less than most of the other halls around and I'm really glad I chose it! The nearest club restaurants and takeaways are 2 minutes away. The uni is a fifteen minute walk which isn't ideal but it's worth it for the closeness to town!

The rooms are a standard sort of size with a massive desk and the en suites are great with actual shower cubicles unlike some other halls! The kitchens are a good size although they don't have sofas or a TV in the standard flats. The office staff are really nice and friendly too. Apparently it can be noisy if your room faces the courtyard but it's nice and quiet most of the time if not.

The actual accommodation itself is great. The rooms are well furnished and the ensuite bathrooms are clean and to a relatively high standard. It's is both close to the university and close to town so you get the best of both worlds. HOWEVER if you actually want to get sleep at night I suggest you look somewhere else as there are complete morons who enjoy sitting on benches in the courtyard shouting and screaming throughout the night almost every single day not having any consideration for other people -.-

Park court is amazing, great location, can literally crawl out of Home and into bed in minutes. The downside is, if you are found to be awake or even remotely conscious after 11pm expect a hefty fine. God help you if at 11.01 you want a fag, or fart too loudly. Helen and Fenna in the office are amazing tho, so that's a bonus.

Really close to town, safe, modern kitchen, and nice rooms. You get an actual shower instead of a wet room!

Room size and ensuite are not to be sniffed at. Very good value for money. Literally a 2 minute walk into town, and a 4 minute walk to the university. The staff are amazing!

Pretty much your standard halls. Fits the purpose. It is expensive but as are all halls. Would be better if there was a sofa area and tv per flat to socialise together rather then cramming into each others bedrooms.
