The rooms are a nice size compared to most student accommodations in London, however all the rooms have single glazed windows, most don't close properly and most of the rooms face a busy street with 24hr bus stops. The heating/hot water also regularly fails for days at a time. My radiator has leaked twice this year and now no longer turns off.

As for the atmosphere, rooms on my corridor regularly have soap/food sprayed all over them. The corridors stink of weed. People running through corridors at 4am most weeknights shouting. Toilets are cleaned every morning and by noon are absolutely disgusting. Food/dishes/pots are regularly stolen from kitchens. Our cooker has been broken twice. A friends cooker has been broken and took 2 months to fix. Has to be the most immature bunch of students I have ever encountered.

For management, good luck getting anything sorted if anything goes wrong. A friend was owed £4,500 due to them messing up payments. It took them 8 MONTHS to get it back. Broken radiators/laundry/ovens.

There has been at least 1 shooting and 1 stabbing right round the corner this year that I have seen on the news.

Unless you are a pothead with a sub 90 IQ who plans to drop out halfway through the year and just mess around, AVOID THIS PLACE.

The most depressing place I lived in, cant even hang with uni friends because forced to live here. I was not allowed to move out and is not a good idea for first-year students especially.

The price may seem cheap but the social sacrifices involved due to having to travel to uni everyday just to hang with friends (plus tube is not 24/7 to get back home after night outs) which costs around 46 pounds a week for me, makes it an expensive choice as that's an hidden cost.

You rather live in your uni halls or houseshare next to uni to get a better uni experience.

Very likely to target you as they don't like people talking at all. The people whom I met this year are fun, social and dedicated students but the management targets student for socialising, causing them to ban students from socilazong in the common room. The worse thing is that they have the cheek to make you pay all the rent. However the friends you meet make everything better, they make you want to stay and it is one of the cheapest options around. Up to you really, but if you want to have enjoy your time at university and meet some incredible people which will have your back in any situation, avoid because they will be kicked out. I wish you the best at university and enjoy urself xx from a student whose not been kicked out (yet)

Hall review

3.5

Quality of rooms - 3 Fun/Atmosphere - 3 Location - 2.5
Safety - 4 Management - 2 Value - 4.5

The hall is great and value for money, but the administration could be a bit better. I had issues when I arrived, despite of sending number of emails before my arrival, I was not registered until the day I actually turned up at the door. This was a harrowing experience. And since the admistrative staff is not on duty all the time maybe establishing a better communication between the security guards and the administration is a suggestion as a lot of times the security personnel have no idea as to what is going on the halls. And it is troublesome to explain them situations when you need something after office hours. Another suggestion is to take quick actions on maintenance services and complaints. Apart from that the hall is nice and warm place for a university student to live in.
