Such awful communication and lack of empathy for the position they put you in. Felt completely conned. Tricked into a contract where I didn't get the room agreed online, no en suite. Was agreed me and two others would live together, was such a hassle to get sorted but it was agreed in the end. In the end only two of us were put together and our friend somewhere else. It had already been discussed we wanted to NOT live with a particular person we had really badly fallen out with, and guess what, our friend was put in a flat with that exact person. And he had to live with him for the whole year. No help given to him either. When we complained, begged for any form of help, was told there's nothing they can do. Flat was vile, things broken, missing, dirty when we arrived, so clearly wasn't sorted before new tenants arrived. Maintenance took forever to fix things. Lift always broken. Fire alarm is horrific and goes off most nights so you never get a good sleep. Wifi is bad so always had to go to the library for teams calls. Staff are friendly when they want to be, but not sympathetic at all when they can't help. Please never attempt to stay here. It's hell and you don't get what you asked for and they won't tell you that till you move in and find out for yourself and it's too late. Worst day of my life and worst year of my life. Ended up staying elsewhere most of my year to get away from it or hide in my room and not come out, paying them rent all the while.
absolutely filthy accom infested with cockroaches and rats. bathrooms covered in black mould and filth. flats aren’t cleaned between tenants - whole building isn’t cleaned even the stairs are vile. no security so you’ll be up all night every night listening to drunks shouting and neighbours being loud. staff are useless and the whole place needs shutting down
Do not stay here unless you’re prepared to be woken up at any hour of the morning by the world’s most intrusive fire alarm. Some days the alarm went off literally 10 times, and once began ringing for 3 hours during the night from 3am. I am only making this account so that I can leave this review to ward off other students from staying here. The only redeemable qualities of this accommodation is the price and the location. If you’re prepared to be woken up at stupid o’clock every other day then stay here! There is no way to communicate with the reception remotely other than when logging maintenance requests. When you do communicate with the receptionists in person they have no idea what’s going on.
Be careful what you're signing up for as you can't change your mind even if your personal circumstances change they absolutely persecute you. Unable to take up room, gave 9 months notice and pleaded for help but they would not introduce another single tenant. Just kept saying I was liable. I have no means to pay for the room and this has made me very ill. They have people making inquiries all the time and probably offer rooms but despite knowing my situation they wont help me and keep telling me that even though I've not moved in I have to pay the full amount.
I have lived in St Andrews Gardens for nearly 2 years now, always a great welcome whenever I come to collect my post or I have a query/problem! The rooms are a decent size, plenty of room for storage and having the double bed is a life saver. There are many different activities available including the new boot camp and the movie nights which are a great way to meet the other people who live in this accommodation! The accommodation is smack bang in the middle of Liverpool, only a short 2 minute walk to the high street & Redmonds building and Lime Street is just round the corner for those weekends home. Special thanks to Kirsty who has been the best and is one of the reason I love living here, will be so sad when I have to move out! All in all would highly recommend St Andrews Gardens!
Currently in my second and final year of staying in St Andrews, the management has been lovely with Kirsty being especially helpful to me and my flatmates. I have had so much fun staying here in a great location in the city center of Liverpool. The rooms are clean and specious with a double bed in a standard room. Recently the accommodation has become more proactive in engaging its residents by putting on events such as a boot camp and a book club every week in the reception area. I have thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will miss it very much.

Has a few issues with internet and the washing machines can get pretty pricey. New office team not great, bit incompetent.
I have lived in St.Andrew's Gardens for three years now and I honestly couldn't really fault it at all. It is in the perfect location, with only a 10 minute walk to most university buildings, shops and city centre. The staff are so friendly (especially Kirsty) who is always there to help and chat when you need to and will sort any problems you have as soon as she can report them to maintenance who are on site everyday. The security at St.Andrews is also brilliant as it has gates, a fob to get in and also a 24 hour security man on every night to make sure there are no problems. The only small fault I would have with it is sometimes it isn't as sociable as other places, but this is just down to probably the fact it is mostly second and third years who are always busy with work and so don't have much spare time, however the staff here have been trying and encouraging more social activities with games, movie nights and exercise classes etc. to make this as fun and sociable as can be! Also, if you choose to live in a flat of for example seven people, you will always have company and be able to be sociable in a flat with lots of others anyway so it is never a big deal. But overall I would recommend this accommodation to any second/third year students as it is ideal, with lovely staff/management which is why I have choose to stay here for three full years.

I have lived in St. Andrew's gardens for 3 years now and I have really enjoyed my stay. The reception staff are brilliant and will look after every need or problem you have. The rooms are a bit pricey but it is expected for the location being in the city centre of Liverpool. If you lived in Smithdown you would have to pay for transport so it's pretty much the same expense. It takes me 5 minutes to walk to university of Liverpool, it is that close. The flats are lovely and if there is anything broken in the flat, it will get fixed practically straight away!! The 24/7 security is great especially if you've any problems. 100% recommend here to live!
Firstly, the location of St Andrews Gardens is so close to Liverpool Lime Street, and only a short walk away from Liverpool One. The Redmond's building, and John Lennon Art and Design Building are also only a 10 minutes walk away so perfect for rolling in to lectures of a morning! Considering all bills are included in the price, as well as internet and 24/7 security, I'm happy with the price of rent, and compared to other places around St Andrews Gardens, the price isn't that bad at all. Management are friendly and do get the job done- eventually. It does take a bit of nagging, and process does seem slow as they have a list of jobs which obviously get prioritised throughout the day. In terms of fun/atmosphere, I'm in my second year and have a job- so social life is a push at the best of times, and I didn't really come here to make loads of friends as I often socialise with course friends and flatmates. Therefore, I haven't met many people in the building or been down to the community area much so I can't really comment on that aspect.
Fantastic location, great place for second and third years at uni that don't want to stay in first year halls or move out of city centre to a house, there is always people around and maintenance problems are solved almost instantly! Very secure accommodation as of an evening the gates are locked and can only get in with a fob key!
