The Cube has a great mix of everything. The staff are particularly helpful and pleasant and will try to help where they can. The rooms are comfortable and are of good quality. WiFi signal could be improved which wasn't that much of a problem. I would highly recommend the Cube
As final year students, we have had our experience of living in various houses in Sheffield and we reverted back to the same agency as to where we were in Halls (Trigon - also really good for you first years), to just next door - The Cube. It is two minutes walk from one of the uni buildings, Cantor, and about 5 minutes walk to the main uni building - to be honest, I don't think there are many other places any closer. It is also about 5 minutes (if that) to the train and bus station, and about 5 minutes to The Moor - A shopping area with a big Sainsburys, Iceland & Market (The Moor also leads you into town). We actually viewed a different apartment to the one we moved into, but as we already knew that the level of cleanliness and modernisation there was by Derwent Students, we had no doubt that any of the flats we were going to move into in The Cube would be fine. We weren't wrong - our apartment is now my pride and joy and I will be devastated when I have to leave Sheffield and my apartment. The maintenance and 24/7 security is amazing, as soon as you have a problem (i.e. a light bulb going out/ washing machine fault) they come and have a look/fix it as soon as they can. The apartments are really spacious; we have a two bed and each room has generous storage and good natural lighting. I would say the only thing that is a bit of a downer is that there isn't black out blinds but I quickly got over that with an eye mask!!
Very happy to be completing my final year at Sheffield Hallam University in this accommodation. A five minute walk to the university and being very close to the city centre means everything is nearby, while not getting a lot of noise from busy roads. Management are helpful and any issues you have will be sorted out quickly. I'd highly recommend final year students to live here.
As 2 lonesome final year students there weren't a huge amount of options open to us, but as soon as we looked around the cube, and saw the balcony rooms, we were sold! The flats are all immaculately kept with an overly spacious bathroom, with a bath (another selling point for us.) The maintenence people are extremely fast to respond to any problems you have and are always more than willing to help, even with putting in new lightbulbs! Though there is a little bit of noise from the street behind the building, you soon get used to it and all the other positives of the flat outweigh that niggle. The location is probably one of the best things for us, as lazy public transport-phobes, it literally takes 5 minutes to walk to uni or the train station and the moor is only a couple of minutes away for any shopping you need to do. Overall it's a great little flat, and though you might miss out on the social aspects of Eccy road, who's the real winner when Leadmill and Plug are a minutes walk away!
The Cube accommodation is definitely a good place to live due to the good location. It would be highly recommended that they work on their management and on their quality rooms. All the staffs are friendly. Moreover, It has all that a student needs. This is very easy access to city center and the Sainsbury supermarket being just behind the building that is one of the most convenient things a student needs. Highly recommended.
The Cube has been a brilliant place to complete my final year of my undergraduate degree at Sheffield Hallam. The accommodation has 24 hour security so any problems can be fixed promptly. The office staff are approachable and the surrounding flats are quiet. A city centre location enables most places to be within walking distance including the university city campus. The facilities within the flat are above expectation and with all bills included and payments of the accommodation made easy to pay, its a very easy place to live. Overall the accommodation has been perfect and I would recommend it to anyone.
The Cube is a great place to live. There is very easy access to city campus, which is great for final year students who want access to the library, especially with the 24 hour opening times. The train station is also near. Staff on hand for help at any time during the day and security is high. Perfect for if you want to live on your own or in pairs as the security is great.
