Crosshall Street, Liverpool

Booked this accommodation last minute in September. They offered me a discount to my room as I was so late in booking ( if I didn't take it, it could have possibly been empty all year). Little did I know that the noise from the games hub would echo in my room. I put up with this on a daily basis but also at night, right through to the early morning. Nights are the worst as some parties can be quite loud and go on all night, vitas own organised nights included. It's not really idea for a student as you already put up with the outside noise. My room is so noisy tho I can hear every conversation and every time the table tennis ball bounces. I was told my room would be painted before I moved in, this didn't happen my room has paint literally flaking off the wall as well as loads of marks from previous tenants. I moved in on September and it's now April, there have been 15 days since moving in that there has been no hot water at all!! Not even tepid but actually cold, a daily shower shouldn't be a struggle when you pay so much should it?? There have been leaks in the building which constantly had staff members having to enter and inspect my room at all hours of the day and this has happened on at least ten occasions. Not exactly the privacy that normally comes with studio student accommodation. Also the building has a bin store, again over my stay here this has been unavailable weeks on end, meaning that we are expected to take our rubbishy out to a back alley way with rubbish over flowing from the bins and rats and other rodents immersed in the over flowing rubbish bags. All this considered just because of locality for myself I wanted to rebook my room for next year just out of pure convince, location and the fact of not having to move. However on booking I asked could I have the same room and rate as last year as its not necessarily a good room due to the noise etc but I have adjusted to it and I'm comfortable there. I got quite a surprised reaction and was told vita don't do discounts! Ammmm I believe you do as you offered me one this year and didn't even make me aware of the flaws with my room. All in all dealing with head office this has been going on now for over two months. The dealing with it has had several people involved and really unorganised and incompetent to be quite honest. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone, there are plenty more in town that offer the same with much more competitive rates. To add more salt to the would I felt really pressured into rebooking as the reception would try and push you to rebook for next year as you entered and exited the building. On the occasion of when I booked my room I had been told there was only a few rooms left, so I booked and paid my deposit as I didn't want my room to go. Literally a week later a chalk board goes up in reception encouraging you to rebook and get money off your room, this building is at 52% occupancy! So not only was I lied to that all the rooms had nearly gone I could have been informed to wait a week and get money off as opposed to being pressured into rebooking. I found this really deceitful and an unfair sales tactic. Wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone check out what else is available in Liverpool, I have friends that live in buildings on par with vita and for a lot less money and you might actually deal with someone up front and honest.

Not very sociable, difficult to make friends. Late move in. Very expensive for what it is, very small room with slanted ceiling but paid more because it goes off floor space even though you could barely stand.
