Wrexham Student Village

This is my first year here and it's been really good, obviously a few downfalls but everywhere does. The room sizes are good, facilities are good especially having own bathroom and huge kitchen lounge area. The bedrooms are well heated sometimes too much but when you learn how to turn the heating down in the bathroom it's a nice warmth. Windows don't open very wide so if it gets too hot maybe buy a fan haha. The bathrooms have a tendency to smell even if you don't use them, not sure why but a good strong citrus bleach works wonders. The main problem is the wifi as if someone adds their own router it plays with the wifi and stops certain sites working mainly Netflix. But they are apparently changing the wifi provider so hopefully that goes ahead. noise is kind of a thing aswell obviously with the student club "the cent" being outside you hear roudy people coming home and shouting but also adds entertainment. The staff are nice but the postal system needs changing, can only pick it up between 8-9am or 3-4pm and if you miss it then you can't get the package till next day, which is good and you can ask someone else to get it and email ahead just maybe 2-4 or sign out the package when you can. Car park is a huge problem, never enough parking for the amount of students staying there, so if you have a car prepare for a walk if you can't grab a space because you'll have to park in the university. Location wise though, I work in town and it's about a 9 minute walk to town and few minutes to the uni, amazing spot for if you want to wake up later and just hope out of bed to uni. Pricing for the accommodation is good for everything you get but I do think they need bigger freezers as the space for your self isn't big enough for what you may want. I am staying here another year and would recommend as you make friends and have fun just be prepared for some noise and intermittent wifi.
