Founded in 1963, the University of York is famed for its research and the quality of its teaching, and is a member of the prestigious Russell Group. It is home to over 17,000 students in nine colleges.

For those who love the outdoors, York is a gateway to the stunning Yorkshire countryside and it is a short trip to a number of national parks, forests and stately homes. If surfing and the beach is more of your thing, it’s less than an hour to Scarborough by rail.
