The room is quite nice everything is great. Also the start is pretty warm hearted, and the safety is high quality. I think it's very nice and a great choice for students to choose this accommodation.

Management can be unapproachable compared to other student accommodation. Same group of people take over the common room. Freezer hasn't been good all year, the maintenance guy has tried to sort it several times. Rooms are really nicely decorated and there is so much storage which is a plus. If you are a social student I would not recommend this accommodation.

Student Castle (Newcastle) is a well located and a great accommodation where I will definitely come back in case I start a new study in UK. The room is really nice and the building has a gym and a common area where events are organized quite often. It was a great time and I will surely recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

Honestly, the best student accommodation ever- couldn't have asked for a better experience! I have already booked my room for next year.
The atmosphere is what you make it, if you're very social you can make the most out of the common room and the numerous events which Student castle hosts (which always include free alcohol and food :P) However, if you're looking for a quieter accommodation, it's perfect as you have your own space and can choose whether you want to be involved.
It's incredibly safe with 24/7 security.
The quality of the rooms are amazing, more like a hotel!
The location for me is ideal as it's only a 5 minute walk to Northumbria Business School.
The management are so friendly, and always there to help you out with anything!
I realise that it's a bit more expensive however, in the price you have all your bills, ultra fast wifi, tvs in every room, 24/7 gym and free bikes and much moreee.
If I had to think of a negative, it would be the shower hot water pressure, but that's all the negative I can say.

this is my second year at student castle newcastle and I'll be coming back for final year.
When looking for somewhere to live I wanted a studio close to uni with parking and student castle ticked all the boxes, it does seem a little expensive but for that we get all bills included, superb management/maintanence and security, a gym onsite so I definitely feel like I get my monies worth.
My only little niggle is we don't have a proper freezer which would be nice to have but apart from that I can't complain, any maintanence issues are dealt with quickly, security is good, management will help where ever they can and I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
As a mature student who has previously worked in halls of residence I know I would much rather pay more and live in comfort than live in some of the really grim places available and I will definitely be coming back to student castle for my final year :)

Very fantastic, but i think the room chairs choice should be change to something more comfortable.

The studios are beautifully decorated, the maintenance staff efficient and friendly as are the security staff. The common room has been renovated and the staff regularly put nights on, it is a great atmosphere.
The location is fantastic 10 mins from uni/town and 5 mins from the quayside.
However, if you are planning to stay over summ r please be aware that this year the management have allowed 16 year old students (from a government funded programme) to stay at Liberty Quay, but they use liberty quay studios common room for 4 nights for a few hours meaning other paying students (such as myself) cannot use the facilities because of the large, loud, groups of children which congregate in the common room and are also outside. Although they are accompanied the majority of the time by 'leaders' they do not seem to watch them as they should do. I have felt very uncomfortable bringing my washing down and going into the courtyard when there have been crowds of young kids littering the courtyard.
I did contact management about this issue and they basically told me that they were paying students but were also funded by the government... and that they wouldn't be here during weekends but would be in the common room during certain times at night. My argument was that we are also paying students and deserve the right to enter the common room at any time we please too. I was also uncomfortable and anxious concerning the security of the building which had never become an issue before.
Unfortunately I have returned from work (on a Sunday night) with a sign on the common room stating that it was 'closed but only open to catch 22 students' I.e the government funded 16year old leavers, when I was informed it was open to us on the weekends and closed to them. I have also heard complaints from other members of staff concerning the screams/shouting/blasting music from the funded group downstairs.
This accommodation is fantastic, but if I had known the company was going to restrict their own tenants to enter certain facilities and didn't take their security/safety issues seriously when it came to these student leavers entering the buildings/leaving the common room in a mess/ congregating and smoking on the premises and blasting music and screaming outside, then I wouldn't of stayed here.
