I was treated by the staff at CRM accommodation with courtesy and I have had having the pleasure to have the management as a helping hand during my stay there.Thank you and see you for the upcoming school year. Michel
Best place to live for a student commuting to University. Next to the centre, 5 min from New street station and Bull ring. Rooms are very comfortable and the onsite team (Sophie and Tom) is the best; once you ask to fix something it'll be sorted in a couple of hours! you can walk to everywhere in the centre without using expensive public tranport! cost cutter, grocery, is just beneath the student's rooms!highly recommended!!

I chose to live at Bristol Street in my final year of uni but I wish I had chosen in earlier! The highlight of living here has been the location. I can get to the bullring and the train station within 10 minutes of walking and can get to uni in 20 minutes! The manager here is amazing and very friendly! She resolved any issues I had very quickly and I had very few issues during my time here. The site is very secure an I feel very at home when staying here.
I have had a great time living here. Great people and staff and it's really close to my uni.
Great location , surrounded by night clubs and everything is within walking distance , including the bullring shopping centre . A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Kitchens are a good size and modernised and so are bedrooms. A good view from my window of the main road , but can be extremely noisy at times.
Dear Rui, I'm sorry that you feel this way about your stay at Bristol Street. The majority of these concerns have never been bought to my attention by you and I wish that you had raised them in person. I am in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays should you wish to discuss these matters further. Alternatively please email me. Kind Regards, Sophie, Accommodation Manager
CRM at Bristol Street is not worth your time. - The washers are £2.80 and dryers are £1.30 which is more than at other accommodation places. The washers are small and the dryers don't dry clothes properly - The bins are not emptied regularly enough - The internet is unstable, slow and bandwidth is capped (studentcom) - There is rarely anyone ever in the office during office hours - When I arrived, the kitchen was dirty, floor was sticky and the previous year's tenants' things were still in the cupboards and fridges: yogurt and drinks out of date by months - My curtain pole in my room was broken at the start, the radiator was loose, my friend's lamp was broken on the table, his curtain pole was broken too - Due to the buildings being old, the water pressure kept going weak at random times and the temperatures unstable. We didn't have water for a week and a half in total in my block and it was unstable from September until February until it was fixed - You are not told when you receive mail; you have to regularly check the office just in case where it is delivered - The accommodation does not come with an ironing board, an iron or a kettle - My block smelled of weed most nights, same as the neighboring block, and the walls and floors are very thin so you can hear other people easily - Being right next to Bristol Street and having thin walls, you'd need to get used to the loud traffic day and night even when trying to sleep If you're looking for accommodation try CLV or Liberty Living down the road, everything is significantly cheaper and better.
I share with my boyfriend a premier room bathroom at £152 a week. The fact we have a bath is amazing, this is unheard of in student accommodations! The rooms are spacious, plenty of workspace for 2 people let alone a single occupant. Only a 10 minute walk to the Bullring, a little less to New Street Station and 5 minutes from the Hippodrome and China town and gay village. Very well located for any students needs. Maintenance is seen to quickly and the main manager is very good with all queries/help etc.
I'm a 2nd year student who transfered from Manchester meaning this review may be helpful to any students coming from other areas wondering which Accomodation is best. It's by a country mile CRM Bristol street. Rooms - Very specious and don't have a boxed in feeling to them that other accommodations in Birmingham do have. (In Jennens court I could touch either side of the room with my arms out!) the beds have plenty of room left over and I'm a stocky 6ft guy so no problems there. One other thing is heating, it's very easy to control the temperature of the room and not have to wait long to have the room hot/cold depending on your preference. Atmosphere - Amazing. I was surprised at how sociable and friendly all the residents were. Not to mention how respectful everyone is, for example if a neighbour is having pre-drinks they'll always tell you in advance and ask if music is too loud. Also comes with a social lounge to play pool, watch tv or have a FIFA night with friends. Location - Less then 15 minute walk to BCU Curzon, less than 10 minutes to train station and new street, 2 minutes from Arcadian. There's also an aldi close by that's only £3 away using Uber so food shopping is less than £20 a week with much of it left over. In short, incredibly convenient and a huge benefit of living here. Safety - security is second to none. I have never felt in any danger, of anything at any time. Management - Always looking out for you. The managers have great communication skills and consistently keep up their efforts making my residency here brilliant. I would say this is the best thing about the Accomodation but in all honestly theirs too many good things to pick from. Value - This is an absolute bargain for city Accomodation. Due to all these reasons I'll be re-booking and strongly advise that if you're split between this and other Accomodations go for this one. You won't regret it.
I have stayed here for the duration of my first year at university and I've had a great experience. The accommodation is a 25 minute walk to BCU and 3 minutes from China town (where there is a Tesco to do shopping). The managers are lovely and quick with resolving issues. I'm in a single room and have managed to fit at least two other friends at a time. Only thing is the a accommodation is quiet unlike halls so ideal if you like peace and privacy. Would definitely recommend!
I could not have picked a better place to live during what has surely been the toughest year of my life (For anyone doing the LPC MSc, you know exactly what i am talking about :D. Everything Sophie promised I'd find when i arrived here was just as she said. She is a true diamond and a wonderful accommodation manager. to reiterate what my comrades have said in their reviews, the location of the place is great and for the studious among you, it's very quiet and peaceful (depending on which side your room faces of course) so no need to go to the library if home studying is your thing. All in all, I am impressed! CRM ROCKS!
The rooms are homely and very comfortable, the size is brilliant, I live in a standard en-suite and it's very modern. The location is brilliant, if you're someone who loves going out there is plenty of clubs to choose from in less than a 5 minute walk!! Whilst new street and the Bullring shopping centre are less than 10 minutes away! Needing a fob to get onto the complex and 2 separate keys for the block and room, it is 20x safer than my last accommodation and Sophie the manager is so lovely and brilliant. She is so welcoming and friendly so if I have any issues of any kind I have no problem reporting them, with them getting resolved in a prompt and timely fashion! I love living here, it's so much better than any other accommodation I've looked at and been in!
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap and really value for money accommodation. It is near the Bullring and close to all amenities you could possibly need from Petrol Stations to 24/7 stores all within a 5 minute walk. Nightlife is also a 10 minute walk away on Broad Street and New Street Station is also a 5 min walk away. Great location and great people managing the accommodation especially Sophie!

I was lucky enough to live here in my last year of university. Had I found it earlier I would have loved to stay longer, the staff incredibly friendly, the rooms are spacious well equipped and very comfortable for a universation accommodation. It doesnt feel at all like a "cliche" halls, the way it looks especially the standard en-suites, you dont want to make a mess of it. Obviously no place is perfect, the kitchen could do with sofas to make them more comfortable to socialise in. However, this is remedied with the social area on the left hand side of the accommodation. Its situated about 5 minute walk away from New Street station, so its easy for your friends to find when they visit you from home. Additionally, its about 20 minute walk from Broad Street, and about 5-10 minute walk from digbeth and Arcardian. Where it is situated it feels 5 minutes away from anywhere your friends say to meet up at. Although a lot of halls are up in the north of the city centre, Bristol Street Townhouses is closer to some of the best art and Theatre such as the Hippodrome, New Alexandra Theatre, Comedy Glee Club, and so much more. Overall, its definitely recommended by anyone who ever visited me and myself, that shows that where it holds its value. You won't regret living here at all.
Great accommodation to stay at.
The rooms are ten minute walk to New Street Station, Bullring and half hour walk from BCU city centre campus which is really good. I'd recommend Bristol Street for students who wish to concentrate on their degree or for more mature students who wish to live in a more quiet student accommodation setting. Rooms are a great size with plenty of storage.
Great location, right in the city centre and the rooms are modern and spacious compared to other student accommodation sites nearby. The site is extremely quiet which is ideal for ensuring you get all your work done and a decent nights sleep, however there is a really good student lounge with everything you need and more if you ever want to have a bit of fun onsite! Manager Sophie is the nicest lady, always making you feel welcome and will do whatever she can to help! Would highly recommend living at Bristol Street!
I have lived here during my placement year in the centre of Birmingham (Aston Student), and it's been great - the management is awesome, the rooms are spacious, open and well-equipped, and the kitchens are fab (bonus - gas hobs!!). It's a short 7 minute walk to work for me and New Street Station is very close too. I have an en-suite room with a bath and it is brilliant - better value than the other accommodations I have stayed in. If there is ever a problem, it's sorted out before you know it, and everyone really makes you feel at home. Some of my friends have even booked after my recommendation!
- spacious and well-equipped room - well-located - safe and fairly well-managed - friendly atmosphere

Excellent rooms well worth the price, modern/spacious en-suites and kitchens
Very good rooms, awesome location and the best manager ever. I lived there for almost two years.
I booked a room here at the very last minutes so I actually had no expectation for the accommodation but it turned out very good. It is well located, just 5-10 minutes walking into town and Birmingham New Street Station. I am an UoB student and I take the train every day, no hassle at all. The room is great for value, for a room I have here, I may have to pay higher somewhere else. Facilities on site are new and well-maintained. Only a minor problem is that my room is on the top level so it could be a bit hot in the summer, but very warm in the winter. Service is good, always have someone on site 24/7 to sort out any problem.
I've lived here two years in a row because it's conveniently close to the city centre, my Uni and the train station (a ten minute walk) as I have to get the train to work. It's also pretty good value for money compared to other accommodations especially considering some of them are charging a ridiculous amount of money for a tiny little box room. overall its a great site to live on, the management team is amazing and happy to help with anything you need!!
Love it here! Rooms are nice and very new. The bathrooms are especially really nice and bedrooms are lovely with high ceilings and loads of storing space. Price is a bit more than regular rooms, but totally worth it! The location is great, 5 min walk to city entre and 10 min bus to UoB. The manager is great and so helpful, and its very safe here. Kitchen is large and quite new as well! Only negative point is that my window can't open, but that is just in a few rooms. All the facilities you need are here. Would recommend it to anyone!!
Well, I have been spending most of my student life here and cannot recommend it enough. This student accommodation is well located, well managed and well equipped. As mentioned above, rooms are very spacious with warm atmosphere, lots of facilities that make me feel like second home.
I have lived at Bristol Street for 3 years and it's AMAZING. Manager is brilliant always there to sort out if anything needs sorting out. Size of the rooms are brilliant with high ceilings. It feels like home. Wish I could stay there.
