The staff are really kind and caring and the maintenance guys are always happy to fix issues!
Friendly staff, close to the university, good rooms, can be very loud.
Callice was good, however when I was a resident there were lots of building works which meant that it was very noisy from early in the morning through to the evening. Additionally I asked to be in a mixed flat, however I was put in a girls only... was a bit annoyed and worried when I first started uni however it was okay. The not so nice thing within Callice were the RATS! Not the halls' fault, because rats are all over Coventry and when it rains, the sewers are full therefore the rats are everywhere :( Back to a positive which is the location, very close to all the university buildings and having an en-suite was really useful.
Staff always polite and helpful Regular cleaning and the cleaners were lovely! Free tea and coffee is a must for a poor, caffeine-addicted student
Callice is a lovely place to live, the staff are helpful and friendly and the maintenance team are always fast at fixing things. Its also so close to uni! The rooms are good size with average sized en-suites. However, it is very expensive, and student loan doesn't cover it! The washing is also very pricey at £2.70 for the cheapest wash.
Callice is so close to the uni campus, the rooms are all modern and spacious. The staff are really friendly and any maintaince problems are resolved immediately. The rent is a little pricey though and to park your car here it's a £600 parking permit! Despite that it feels very homey.
Callice Court is great for location! However the price for the room, and overall management and safety is not good enough at the price you are paying. I would go and look around the site before renting a room.
I love Unite and think their properties are really great for getting the most out of student life. Callice is in a really central location meaning you're super close to University classes and to all the shops. All the bars are pretty close and you're relatively close to nightclubs (you're more likely to want to take a taxi to them). Their description of there being a 'large sainsburys' nearby isn't strictly true - it's not big by any means and is still a bit of a walk when you have your shopping. The rooms are spacious and you have your own en-suite. There are different sized flats so if you choose to stay another year you're bound to find one that will accommodate yourself and your friends. It's also relatively secure (people can easily tailgate inside the property and security is not always on site), and the staff are wonderful - super friendly and helpful. Also, if you have a problem with your flat, all maintenance is fast and cost-free. The internet is also unlimited and quite fast, but i've noticed this year has struggled to be able to stream YouTube videos or Netflix in HD. The only really bad downside is the cost. If I was starting university now I would be in a bad financial situation from the get-go as the prices tend to increase every year for these properties. It's far more than I managed to get from student finance and I had to fork out £500 of my own money on top of student finance in both September and January for rent. It's also quite a noisy place to live although this has been improved slightly by a nightclub which was situated just next door shutting down. Also, the washing/drying of clothes can be expensive at £2.70-3 a load and £1.20 for drying. If you can afford it, it's a great place to live and can give you a really great experience during your first year if you're placed with the right people.
