WORST ACCOMODATION VILLAGE EVER IN THE UK !!! RUN AWAY Don't go in every Unite Student accommodation if you are looking for safety, empathy from the reception team. I was put in a room with 3 men of 10 years older than me. I was the only girl in the flat. I asked every day in tears to change room, they don't help me and let me in this vulnerable situation. They are lying to you during the booking in the only purpose to sell room but if you have a problem they won't be here for you. At phone when I was booking they promise and assure me I will be girls in the flat. At my arrival they said that they never told me that and that it was impossible to change room. I ask for a refund immediately they refused. So I change accommodation and stayed only 1 week in the flat. They never refunded me. The after sales service is so bad, I'de write to them so many time but never respond me or just automatically responses that don't solve my problem. RUN AWAY !!!

I lived here from September 2019 until March 2020. (Tenancy cut short due to the corona pandemic) Iโ€™d like to begin by saying that the majority of staff are very friendly and helpful to ensure your stay here is maximised as much as possible, and new students settle in well. They also promote the use of the โ€˜My Uniteโ€™ app prior to arrival, to encourage you to meet your flat mates and get to know them before moving in day. The site also provides a good parking facility for visitors, and may even let students park there free of charge at a one off basis. The building is in a very good location, benefitting from being close to Tesco Express and Co-op, and also very close to John Moores buildings such as John Foster, Redmonds and the John Lennon Building. Since the building is relatively old, there are often some maintenance issues, however they provide an app to report these issues, and they often respond to them by the next morning, so theyโ€™re very efficient on that front. On the other hand. You have to go to reception to collect parcels, however these parcels often went missing in their storage room, where they insisted they didnโ€™t have the parcel, but they miraculously turned up months later There is a small laundry building that you have to share with 3 different accommodation buildings in the Unite Village, however there are only 10 washing machines and dryers, so can often become very crowded, so youโ€™ll be lucky to get your washing done without having to wait. Iโ€™d advise you set aside about 2 hours to complete washing. They also charge about ยฃ6 a run, so rather expensive, especially when itโ€™s hit or miss whether theyโ€™ll even work. More often than not, the washing machines donโ€™t spin the clothes, so when you come to collect your clothes, theyโ€™re sat in a puddle of water for god knows how long. Inside the room; the en-suite is vile. Constantly looks dirty no matter how much you clean it. Silverfish and bugs in the shower and on the sink, no matter how much the appliances are BLEACHED. When away for half term, you will return to brown sludge coming out of the taps. The taps are way too hot throughout the flat. Youโ€™ll be lucky to be able to wash your hands or wash up without being burnt. There are only single beds, and these are small and uncomfortable. I suggest a mattress topper. The entire flat is grotty, and hasnโ€™t seen a lick of paint or new appliances since 1930. Kitchen cupboards are practically hanging off, which again havenโ€™t been updated since 1930. The windows have never been cleaned. I moved in in September with what looked like sick on the window. Best believe it was still there when I moved out in March. The accommodation state that there is a common room. This common room was not opened until February. Surely, it would make sense to open it in September during Freshers when making friends. It also took them this long to provide a secure gate. Furthermore; the WiFi is dodgy when connecting to more than 1 device, and Iโ€™m still waiting for the cleaner that we were advised on the viewings and on moving in day that we will be assigned every now and again. All in all. Itโ€™s alright for ยฃ125 a week.

Parts of the accommodation were average at best, but the most despicable thing was the treatment received by the unite student staff, they were extremely unhelpful and above all else rude...seemed as if they were trying to make my stay harder! Would not recommend!!
