I picked this place for the price and location and have been here in a regular studio flat 3 years. 15min walk to Strathclyde (probably 1min to the college) and it suited my needs ok. Chris at the front desk is great, issues I've had have been fixed through the website (properly by Chris), wifi great most of the time and bike storage manageable, but there are a lot of problems from: no thorough cleaning of my flat or communal areas before or during my stay; no oven, kettle or toaster; no cleaning supplies so we share what we have brought with each other; heating is constantly good everywhere but very hard to adjust without just opening a window for an hour; unbearable smell on the ground floor due to the bins room and no AC at all; different issues with circuit laundry each year; and mice have been around the place for a couple months.
As an international student, Clyde House is a nice place to stay. The room I'm staying is spacious and good structure. Moreover, staffs are really nice and helpful. The location is quite easy to access both subway and buses. Overall, it is great value for money and definitely recommended.
The warden is the only good person who work for this company. Everyone I know who’s stayed here has not had their deposit returned. There was also a broken stir in the hallway. When I called about it, all they did was but up a sign saying it would be fixed. That sign was there for 4 months.... could still be there now... also... the pictures do not match why this place cruelly looks like???

I stayed here for a year and the only gold part is the house keeper which is totally innocent of the evil management. This house is not worth for your money, you will over pay for nothing. They only care about money and they are super nasty when it comes to deposit return. We had a FB page of students from my year and everyone is complaining how horrible they are. I cared for the room like crazy and cleaned it for 2 days before I leave, what they did was sending another rooms photographs full of yellow dirt, made me almost puke, saying that is how I left the room!? I had a mouse in my room and there is one room on the third floor having mouse every year, but they are still renting. My friend in that room had nightmares because of the mouses and they just put traps and it’s not fixing the problem. Please let people know the management is horrible.
If you don't want to bother yourself with hassle and headache, avoid this place. The best ability of this property is to ripoff the "students".

I lived in Clyde House from August 2015 to June 2016. As an international student it was definitely the best option. Wendy made it very easy to book from Canada by always responding right away and was always very helpful. The location is excellent- a 20 minute walk away from Strathclyde and right beside Glasgow Green. The rooms aren't very big but it's also much cheaper than many other places in City Centre, so definitely worth the money. I had plumbing issues one night that was addressed as quickly as possible. There was construction at the High Court that would wake us up at 3:00 am many times. When we emailed Wendy about it, the situation was addressed immediately and the noise had stopped. There are many nicer flats in Glasgow City Centre but you'd be paying 100-200 pounds more a month. Clyde House is definitely worth what you pay for. I was notified after my last inspection that I was going to be charged 30 pound for painting for marks on my wall. These marks were there when I moved in but I did not notify Wendy or take photos. When you move in, be sure to take photos of EVERYTHING and notify Wendy so that it won't be taken off your deposit at the end of the year.
I have lived in Clyde House since February and I am really satisfied with all the services that are provided. The rooms are really comfortable, spacious and with new furniture. The building is located in a very nice place. It is near the city centre and the subway, so even though you are a student in University of Glasgow you can take the train and in 10 minutes you are there. As far as the safety of the building is concerned, it is very nice as you have magnetic keys in order to enter the building and your floor. In addition it is very clean. The management is excellent, you can book your room immediately and the stuff of management is very helpful and polite. Furthermore, the janitor of the building, Mr Tom, is very nice and kind. In the buildind there are, also, a gym and two common rooms with billiards and sofas.
Clyde House was the best option for going to school at Strathclyde university. The building is close to the university and city centre. As soon as you get here you are welcomed by Tom immediately and makes you feel at home! The rooms are small but a good size for one person because thats really all you need. It was nice having our own gym in the building as it was very convenient. The location is amazing, right across from Glasgow green for events or just a walk through the park. Right on the Clyde river so also another nice place for walks. And also about 5-8 mins walk from city centre, what more could you ask for. Overall, great building, rooms and location.
My friend stayed at Clyde House for a year and I came to visit several times. I was HIGHLY disappointed by the lack of security and shocked by the damp in the rooms. The wifi was slow, and sometimes failed to work at all. Despite complaints, the lift in the building was incredibly unsafe and would get stuck constantly. It is a shame because if the management actually listened to the views and complaints of their residents, then fixed them PROMPTLY, this accommodation could be quite nice. I have a headache from the amount of times my friend has complained about Clyde House to me - wouldn't recommend, save your parents and friends from headaches too!
a few problems appeared but not as big as described elsewhere. My room was spacious and of good quality. I would reccomend it, but avoid grou d floor flats as you can hear noise from the street. Overall good
Rats in your room, sewage dripping into the basement, leaks through the ceiling cutting off electricity, hot water constantly cut off, slow internet, and looks nothing like the picture. Save yourself time, look elsewhere.
I started my tenancy with Primo very excited about the opportunity as the building was in a great location and seemed to be with a reputable business. As other reviewers have pointed out, leaking sewage was left in the basement with Primo's full knowledge and we were told to 'avoid it', then later tenants were lied to about how long it had been there. The residents were also blamed numerous times for mistakes that the company and their contractors made. Many complaints and concerns fell on deaf ears, and few issues were ever resolved. Things in the building are also a health and safety hazard, parts of the stairs were falling apart for months and nothing was done to fix them. The lift was acknowledged as broken and left for residents to get stuck in at random times. Many faults with the building were known to Primo and no actions were ever taken. Myself and a few other residents were all also quite ill whilst living there as the perpetual damp and cold affected our health greatly. In regards to my own room, around 6 people from Primo came to view the problems I was having, whilst fully recognising that there was in fact mould growing on my walls, I was then never contacted about how or when they were going to fix it. The mould, to my knowledge, is still there 5 months later. It took weeks of hassling and threats of legal action to finally receive my own deposit back. Though I am aware many residents have still not received their deposit back. I full heartedly agree with the other reviewers in saying, please under any circumstances do not book with Primo Property as they will take your money then avoid speaking to you ever again.
Don't be fooled by the claims of "luxury" accommodation, or "award winning" customer service. Primo are an unprofessional, inefficient company who do nothing but make excuses for themselves and their poor quality accommodation. I completely understand that - as in any accommodation - issues will arise from time to time. However unlike other student accommodation, rather than being dealt with immediately our problems seemed to be put off for unnecessarily long amounts of time or swept under the rug altogether. Throughout my time in the property I was continuously fed excuse after excuse, and my complaints seemed to go unresolved a lot of the time. Poor communication from the company became a much greater problem once more serious issues began to arise - Piles of raw sewage were left to fester in the basement for over a week, meaning no one had access to the laundry room for that time. During the winter months I was left without sufficient heating, or hot water. My shower leaked constantly and was never fixed during my whole time at the property despite complaining about it. Although Clyde House is advertised as a safe and secure building, our front door was broken and never fixed, meaning strangers off the street can, and have, walk in and out at their leisure. Towards the end of our lease water was beginning to leak through the ceilings and damp was beginning to grow in many of the rooms (due to the leaking showers), yet nothing was done about it. And there is still an ongoing mouse/rat infestation, with tenants finding rodents running around their rooms frequently. Despite moving out over a month ago, I am yet to receive my deposit back, and only seem to receive replies to my calls/emails regarding my deposit when it is convenient for Primo. I lost all faith in the company very early on into my tenancy. In no way does their standard of service match up to the amount of money we have paid in rent, and I honestly feel as if I have in fact been cheated as I was ensured that I was entrusting a company that prided themselves on their "award winning" customer service. However it was made clear to me from very early on that Primo Property Management have an obvious lack of any basic regard for their residents. As long as they have your money, your well-being is no concern of theirs.
DO NOT LIVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. That is unless you mind sewage lying in your basement for 1 week, showers leaking every day, no hot water half of the time, mice running about and no one who deals with your problem. Primo Property are one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. They never contact you or deal with any complaints you may have. Also prepare to never see your deposit again.
