Was ignored by management - Absolutely awful experience at Gallery Apartments in Glasgow. The entire building is riddled with a severe moth and carpet beetle infestation, stemming from old, filthy carpets and mouldy furniture that hasn't been replaced in years. Management is fully aware of the issue but still tries to blame individual tenants instead of addressing the root cause. I ended up needing multiple rounds of antibiotics after suffering an allergic reaction to the pests. The lack of responsibility and care for tenant wellbeing is shocking. Avoid at all costs — this place is a health hazard, not a home.

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid Gallery Apartments. My experience here has been an absolute nightmare, and I know others who have faced similar issues. When I first arrived, my assigned room (304) was completely uninhabitable, thick with mould, grime, and dampness. I was moved to another room (216) that was equally unsafe, with a broken extractor fan, no fire blanket, and poor ventilation. The room was noisy and uncomfortable, making it impossible to sleep. The hallways and corridors were consistently dirty, filled with trash and not properly maintained. The overall cleanliness and upkeep were absolutely appalling. In addition to the terrible state of the rooms, the management was completely unresponsive. My emails were ignored, and I received no support or updates on the issues I raised. The lack of communication and the failure to resolve anything only worsened my situation. The area surrounding the building is also extremely unsafe, with drunk people and homeless individuals regularly hanging around the premises. To make matters worse, there is no security after 5pm, which makes the entire building feel vulnerable. There was even an incident where drunk individuals tried to break into the accommodation. With the location, the building is also exceptionally loud. Also, staff were dismissive upon entering and I was left with no idea of where any of the facilitaties were or how to access wifi for example. Overall, Gallery Apartments is dangerous, dirty, and unprofessionally run. The lack of proper security, the filthy living conditions, and the total disregard for residents' safety and well-being make this place a disaster. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs if you value your safety and mental health. I have stayed at four different student accommodations in Glasgow as a student and Gallery Apartments was without a doubt the worst.

I'll tell u facts not opinion: 1- In the heart of CITY CENTRE. (really in the heart) 2- So friendly, cooperative, helpful and passionate staff. 3- Universities, libraries, subway and bus stations, shops, restaurants, biggest Cinema in Glasgow, Coffee shops and most famous and live street in Glasgow(Buchanan) are all withen few steps away! 4- Everything is just easily accessible! 5- The rooms are so modern, so clean and soooo equipped! U bring nothing, just ur books and ur success! So happy and grateful being part of this family and I would recommend anyone to come and see and sign the contract upon arrival ????????
Don't have much to say, the location was amazing with shops, bus station and GCU nearby. The staff was also friendly and helpful when you're facing a problem of any kind. The fees may be high but for the proximity of almost everything, that's totally worth it. Undoubtedly an accommodation that contributed to make my stay in Glasgow wonderful!

Location: Couldn't ask for a better location. The building is right in city center, there's a grocery store right below the building and the bus station is 100 feet away from the front door! A wee bit noisy at night if you have a room facing the front of the building because of road noise and people coming home from pubs at 3am on weekends.... Quality of Rooms: high end for student living. Spacious and clean. The walls are thick enough that you do not hear your neighbours at all! having a kitchen with hobs is great. However, I have had reoccurring problems with my shower drain and the repair man has "fixed it" every week for the past several weeks. Another thing is that the2 elevators don't always work and it is common to come back from class to see that at least one of them is out of order. Also, there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the whole building so it's always an adventure trying to claim the machines before others....it is also common for the machines to be out of order for a few days. Value: Yikes! As an international student, this was one of the only places that I was not required to show my face to sign the lease and didn't need to have a bank account in the UK. However, the fees are very high and you also have to pay for washing and drying separately. Atmosphere: every one that lives in the apartments are nice and fun! never had a problem making friends here. Management: Extremely sweet and friendly. They are always there to help you and even talk to you about how your school work is going! Safety: Always felt safe in and around the building. Outside is well lit and the only way you can get into the building is by swiping your room card. There is a night guard that stays in the lobby on weekend nights. Overall: Yes it has it's problems, but I am so thankful for everything the Gallery Apartments has done for me to feel at home!
I've spent the last 5 to 6 months here. I'm a first year student at Strathclyde. I stay in a classic studio here and I'm definitely loving it so far. I would say the location of Gallery Apartments is ideal as it is just a walk away from the largest cineworld building in the world, the various universities in Glasgow and it is in the centre of the city which means all the night life, shopping centres, restaurants are close by. Moreover it is not far away from Buchanan bus station, football pitches, train stations, subway stations, etc. The staff treat you more like a close friend. No, in fact the staff are like family here. The people living in Gallery greet you and smile in your face wherever you are. You might see that the rooms are pricey first but the value is worth it. There is a large cinema room and a fancy common room where you can spend time with friends. A large study room is also available if you require somewhere peaceful to study without having to leaving the accommodation. There is a store to place your bike and a laundrette where you will be able to wash and dry your clothes quite easily. I've already booked my room for next year and I really hope to live here till graduation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, take my word.
Best students accommodation in Glasgow: I have been living in Gallery Apartments for almost three years now, and will continue to stay until my graduation. Staffs here are very friendly, helpful and supportive. They do remember you by names, engage you in conversations and activities. When I have any inquiry or question, they are quick to respond and try their best to solve the problems. Apart from the comfortability and luxuries you have in your room, you will find that people here are very nice and welcoming. The location just make it even more special: right next to Buchanan Bus Station, close to the shopping centres and train station, and Sainbury's is just downstair. You will have the best time of your life studying in Glasgow and staying at Gallery Apartments.
Great place to stay - would recommend to anyone. Jamie and Fern are extremely professional, friendly, and very good people.
Location: The location is really great. It's in the centre of the city, next to everything. There is also a supermarket next to it, which is very convenient. Quality of rooms: It's nice comparing to other student accommodation, but not such nice for its so high rent fees. When we enter our rooms, some of them had broken stuff that had to be repaired. Another problem is the extractors of the building. Some rooms (especially on the upper floors) face serious problems with various food smells coming from other rooms through the extractors. However, the rest of the room is nice. We also faced a lot of problems almost every day with the elevators. There are two elevators, and many times only one of them is working. Moreover, there are only two laundries and two dryers for so many people and most of the times someone else is using them throughout the day. Furthermore, there was a time when both of the dryers were not working for almost a week, and they hadn't fixed them for so many days. Consequently we could not dry our clothes. Safety: We didn't face any problems with safety. At nights there is always someone in the reception as well as during the most hours of the day. However, during the first months the fire alarm was ringing every day because of some tenants' behaviour (cooking without open extractor, smoking in the room etc). Management: Most of the times they are very friendly and kind. However, they could face some major problems (extractors, laundry, elevators etc) more quickly and efficiently. Value: I cannot say that it is value for money. It's one of the most expensive (if not the most expensive) of all student accommodation in Glasgow and it has so many daily problems that are not being fixed efficiently. I think the company that owns the building (CRM) is trying to reduce the costs as much as possible and this has as a result to ignore many of our complaints or pretend to fix them but not efficiently.
Gallery apartments best feature is the amount of personal space you have. If you are someone who wants to live in what feels like an apartments block as opposed to student accommodation, this is the place. This place has a more mature and chilled atmosphere than any other block i have been in Glasgow. There are ample facilities within the building: Building wide wifi, gym, cinema room, bike store, common room with table games (table tennsi and table football) washers and driers and front of house tea/coffee biscuits. The complex is also extremely well situated in the centre of Glasgow. Sainsburys and ask italian are in the same building, buchanan bus station next door, both train stations within 10 mins walk, buchanan street subway a couple of mins walk away. What this all means is that no matter where yopu study, it will not talk long to get to where you study. By walking, GCU and RCS are less than 5 mins walk, strathclyde between 5-10 mins walk and GU best accessed via subway. The staff here are also exceptionally friendly and helpful and will always do their best to hekp with whatever issues arise. I highly reccomend this apartment complex, especially if you are a little older (20+).
The rooms at Gallery are exceptional. Location is perfect for all students. The atmosphere at the property just tops of the experience. Great staff also.
