The halls are well furnished for the price, and the staff are fantastic. However, it is the location that sells Goldsmiths Court. In the heart of Nottingham and across the road from the NTU city buildings.
Overall I loved staying here in this accommodation. Very convenient near uni and the city. Friendly staff and reception staff. A nice and quiet place. The lat was a size and I liked the window view outside.
Best location, social buzz, excellent atmosphere, fabulous rooms
Fantastic, friendly and effective staff, clean and warm environment socially, unbeatable location and value for money - better than trent's halls: 10/10 would live again
Great halls, great location, staff here always so helpful and lovely when I had any problems.

There are good things about Goldsmith. This includes the perfect location and reasonable size rooms. However, there isn't a social area, the terrace could be improved with chairs and benches and the kitchens get unbearably hot during summer. I enjoyed my time here but the one thing I wasn't happy with the whole time was the management. They found ways to fine you unjustifiable amounts for the smallest things, found that they tried to find any opportunity to take more money from people who stayed here as they could, considering we already paid £6000+ for the year here similar prices to hall of residences at university where there they include the benefits or cleaners, parking and more.
The rooms are so nice, the bathrooms are like a 5 star hotel and the shower is amazing! Unlike the other local halls. The staff are really friendly here and they actually care and will help as much as they can. The location is perfect, 2 min walk and you're in town with the shops 10 min walk and you have all the clubs. This place is so so nice. Would recommend staying here!
Really enjoyed my time here, felt safe, tidy building, studio was spacious, how water only lasts about 10 minutes with booster. Literally across the road from lectures, staff make you feel very welcome, would definitely recommend.
A common room would be great for socalizing and helpful to make friends :) Benches + chairs on the terrace
Overall is good, the staffs are quite helpful and easy to communicate with. Sometimes the noise outside (bar or parking lot) is intrusive, anyway good memory for living here 2 years :)
The location is very good. The reception people are very nice!!!

Trying to find student accommodation from overseas is very difficult because you do not have the chance to visit it before booking it. But I was sure I would like Goldsmith Court. It's location is amazing, you can walk anywhere, from supermarkets to cinemas to bars/clubs everything is a few minutes away. The rooms are nicely equipped, it is always clean but most importantly the management and office help is amazing! You can feel at home and safe at Goldsmith Court!
Staff are lovely and welcoming, always there for a chat. The location of the place is brilliant, handy for anything. There could be something on the terrace for example seats or tables to relax on and socialise.
Overall wonderful, price for the facilities and location is superb, literally across the road from NTU. Management are lovely and friendly and make the whole experience more enjoyable. The only downside is the lack of communal social space, could be improved with a common room with sofas and pool tables etc. Alternatively the terrace could be improved with seating and potted plants to make the environment more functional, welcoming and social.
The accommodation was nice, in the perfect location. The staff were friendly and by the end of the year knew us all by name. Some things were a bit tatty (my shower) but overall I have really enjoyed my year.
Location is good. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, rooms need to be further upgraded and conditioning needs to be improved. Overall, would recommend this student accommodation.

I've been here throughout my entire time at university, location being the primary reason. It's cheaper than any university accommodations in close proximity. No brainer. The management are fantastic, couldn't ask for much more. The only ways I think the halls could be improved is an area to socialise being added (possibly adding benches to the terrace?) and a solution to how hot the kitchens get during summer (possibly fans or air conditioning?).
Really modern accommodation, I was lucky enough to have a 7 bed large front window with amazing views. Only wish is for a double bed but it did not affect me much. Fabulous management, always there for you, great communication with staff, friendly and welcoming whole team acts as support not just staff. Bernadette has great control over the whole site. Wish the terrace was more of a social site with benches + smoking area, but other than that, I cannot fault it.
It's quite obvious that this is the most convenient accommodation you can find if you need to go to the library everyday and anytime you want. I may also strongly recommend for long-term accommodation seekers as the working process benefits the long-term stayer better as well. Finally, I'd like to say the staff are nice and helpful here. Why don't you just move in and enjoy their lovely smile.
Very friendly staff. Good sized rooms available and all en suite - especially with the new refurbishments taken place. Good value for money and great location - close to city centre shops and grocery stores. Easy travel bus routes to other campuses.
The place is perfect and is less than a 2 minute walk away from my lectures. Really good value for money and is pretty spotless. Also! Cheaper than some of the other university accommodations that are further away.
Close to all amenities close to uni and shops. Bernie, Sonia and Mark are brilliant and the cleaners are always cheerful.
Very ideal location, always felt safe, really enjoyable year. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great location, very convenient for uni and shops. Also reasonably priced compare to other NTU halls. Would definitely recommend.
I was at Nottigham Trent University, City Campus and this location spoilt me! I was able to leave a few minutes before my lectures/seminars and still get there with time to spare! Location doesn't get better than Goldsmith Court! Also, although there are other year students living there as well, the freshers get up to as much stuff to keep you entertained all year round, there's always a flat party going on somewhere! One thing that I absolutely love about the en-suit is that it's an actual shower cubicle, and not a wet room! No other Uni accommodations offer that, and that was a bonus for me. I enjoyed my stay at Goldsmith court, and I give the lovely ladies at reception lots of praises. They are wonderful, and two people alongside the handyman, Mark, will make you feel right at home!
Location is brilliant, close to everything you need (uni, library and nightlife etc.). The staff are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size and all include a en-suite bathroom. Only downside is that my kitchen only has a small window, so with 8 of us in the flat it gets very hot when we all cook. I've loved my time at Goldsmiths and couldn't imagine a better halls for first year.
Very satisfied with the location of the hall, 1 minute walk to university, very close to the city centre. The rooms are perfectly sized, en-suite is brilliant, only main concern was that the zone i live in has compromised kitchen area with chairs and table rather than sofas unlike the other zones (bear in mind we pay the same price). Other than that, Bernadette and Sonia have always been amazing, the maintenance man is such a nice man and so is the cleaner lady! great atmosphere, great location, great price (cheaper than gillstreet/bryon), great staff! would'nt have wanted to live anywhere else for my 1st year!
Goldsmith Court is one of the best positioned uni halls in Nottingham. Rooms are a really good size compared to other halls close by. Only 1 minutes walk from the uni, students union, gym, library, nightlife and city center. All staff are so friendly and welcoming. Any issues within your flat get sorted straight away without complaints.

A good room. There are some issues though. The room is awfully hot when the weather gets warmer and there is no way to cool the place down. The window does not cool the room enough. Second issue is. There is no escape window side of the kitchen as the window doesn't open enough. Any fire in the kitchen and I would be burned alive if I was the wrong side of the fire. Third issue is there is not enough ventilation. Once when I was frying something I almost gassed myself and had to go over to the window just to breathe.
Not very social compared to other halls in the area, the bathroom is great, but overall not worth the price. The kitchen is tiny (4 person flat) and the rooms are really dark so you have to have your light on whatever time of day it is. Very, very noisy, if you're doing a degree with many exams or you like being asleep before 3 in the morning you might struggle.
Great location, ideal size room with decent bathroom. Not a typical wet room like other uni halls.
