KP House, Nottingham

Scuffed and unorganised. They had the whole summer to clean my room but only clean units days before your arrival, and quite badly too. I was told this place was deep cleaned, still found used socks, used masks and other various things from previous owner, which I had to clean myself. There’s various marks on the wall and a burn mark on my desk, quite scuffed, it’s obvious this place isn’t well kept. The bed frame was broken, I had to carefully sleep on one side of the bed for the first 3 weeks, until they decided to fix it. The room itself is 2m squared less than it was promised and I’m having to pay same rent as people with bigger room than mine. Every time an issue is bought up to the building manager, she gives the same robotic response of ‘there’s nothing i can do’, as everything has to go through the “owners”, which takes months sometimes, not really sure they care about the tenants, they just collect the money. Never seen any other accoms be so unorganised (this is my 3rd year in Notts). My bathroom light and broken wardrobe took a whole month+ to fix. Washing machine is broken every other week. The only nice thing about this place is the kitchen but I can’t even say that as our TVs recently got stolen by the local homeless men as the main entrance has a magnetic lock (which can be broken with some force, this door has been broken 3+ times in a few months) with a CODE that anyone can watch you press in and remember, in fact our mail has gotten stolen a few times, there is no reception here. This place’s fire alarm system is so old that they still do “practice” runs of it at 9am on a weekday which is scary and loud, never seen other accoms do this. Overall, there’s accommodations in Nottingham that cost less than this and offer a much better customer service. Do not book here unless you want to be living in a half broken, unsafe acccom.

Been here from oct15 until june16 and have had endless amounts of problems. The "manager" himself walked out after 4 months. Having said that, this manager bought his family to the Accomodation and used to sit in our kitchen and watch tv like it was normal. When we first moved on, the rooms weren't finished and there was one sink between 8students. No security or cameras through out the whole year and not a secure front flat door, making anyone in the building able to enter your kitchen etc. The 2 washing machines and 2 dryers have flooded a number of times which have caused us to drag wet washing to other accommodations and even laundrettes. They have been through 4-5 managers in a single acedemic year and the place isn't run well at all. Felt unsafe here the whole time. The pictures are nothing like the rooms. Pls visit before if you decide to book to avoid disappointment. The only great thing is the location.

When you stand outside the building you face Burger king & Subway, ATM Machine When you look at the left you see Tesco express & Bus stop When you look at the right you see the biggest shopping mall in town (Victoria). In 20 seconds walk you reach Pizza hut Local authentic Indian food joint- Tamatanga World cuisine buffet Another mall containing Cine-world cinema, Casinos etc Night clubs Tram stop In 30 seconds walk you reach Nottingham Trent University Common kitchen area for en-suite rooms face the city roads which look amazing from its big size windows especially at late nights so even if you are inside the property sipping your favourite drink in the cosy kitchen sofas watch a movie on the big screen you can still enjoy and be a part of road night life (No other property offers this benefit). Experience the best part of Nottingham by staying right on the street on which everyone come all the way to enjoy. We have a new accommodation Manager (Elizabeth Gillam) who is really helpful for anything you need ! I have spent 6 months in the property and I am now extending my stay here :)
