We're extremely impressed with our experience during our search for summer accommodation, especially with the professionalism and hospitality demonstrated by the management and staff, especially Fathi and Bonnie.

To start off. - I am in a One bedroom Flat in Warehouse one - I have a 51 week contract and i am paying ยฃ240 a week. -I booked in February of 2016 and moved in September 2016 - Me and my boyfriend live in the room because they said we could do double occupancy when we booked. The room is in my name, it is mentioned in the contract notes that he lives with me. > THE INTERNET. on the website they advertised when we booked 100MB Free Wi-Fi and this was a total lie. We have had constant issue with the internet from the week we moved in. It is slow and cuts out on a regular basis. they made it out to be good Wi-Fi but they actually meant 100MB for the whole building. NO Ethernet port in our room and we where under the impression we would be getting one like in the other buildings that prodigy living own. When these issues are raised with staff, the reply is usually along the lines of "we will talk with ASK4" or "we are sorting it" but no results or explanations. Disappointing >THE ROOM, Our room happens to be the room at the end of the hall where the elevator shaft is so we have a massive chunk of our room being taken up by wall. Our kitchen is stuffed in the corner of the room and is extremely small. I have seen someone else's one bedroom flat in the in Warehouse One and they have a bigger kitchen yet i am paying the same amount of money as them. I have basically been ripped off. As for the rest of the room you can tell it was cheaply made. I have had a light switch fall off the wall and expose active metal components which is a serious safety hazard, leaving my hallway with no light for over a week. when i told them about it there was no effort made to send someone to fix it. It only got fixed when we complained multiple times and the "electrician happened to be on the premises today". >HEATING, The water never really goes hot, more of a lukewarm. And even then it drops out and goes cold on a regular basis, in the shower and all the taps >RE-BOOKING we attempted to re-book the room for 17/18 year but when we went to the reception to re-book they kept giving us vague excuses into why we can't re-book or how things might change in terms of the rent and contract. Could not give us a simple or straight answer. "i will have to talk to the higher ups, I will get back to you" but then never contacting me. "We let some people live in Double Occupancy last year that we shouldn't have" - this makes me feel very unwelcome and as if we are not really suppose to be living here. For some reason they are chaining there minds about what is and is not allowed and how much is is going to cost us. *Only reason we wanted to re-book because it was seemingly the only student accommodation that would let us do double occupancy in Manchester City centre and we both work in the city centre, CONVENIENCE* >FACILITIES, The Karaoke rooms have been broken or equipment is non existent since us moving in. Bowling ally breaks on a regular basis. The cinema is only used like once in a blue moon, No one knows how to work it. >"ROOM ACCESS" I receive emails saying they want to access all the flats between a certain time (usually 9-5) but then they will never turn up. This wastes my time because i'd rather stay in and be there when they come so i don't have complete strangers in my apartment when i am gone, wouldn't mind this but after everything i have a 100% lack of trust for them. Then they email me the same night after 5 saying they want access AGAIN after not turning up the first time. Overall, my experience living here has been stressful and tiring. I'm upset i pay so much money to live here and receive very poor service and facilities, against what was advertised. I have found alternative accommodation that i would like to move into over the summer but i can't even leave this place until September because the Cancellation fee is ยฃ150 EVEN if you find someone to replace and take over your contract then a further ยฃ30 for cleaning EVEN if you clean it yourself. Awful Experience as a 1st year.

I've been living in Fairfield hall for two years and not a once I felt welcomed. They told me to move out twice even though I've renewed my contract and I have right to stay. They removed my belongings in the kitchen without sending emails to inform beforehand but just a paper hanged on the kitchen door. They've lost my parcel once and it was a upright vacuum cleaner and the reason I bought it is because the vacuum cleaner they provided isn't working at all. They told me to empty the area above/below the bed in order to conduct the window work, but they didn't give me the correct date so I did the whole thing-four suitcases, two boxes and beddings- for a week. And during last year hot water was always off. The only good thing about this place is close to train station and that's all.
