Vita Student is the worst student halls I've ever stayed in which as a postgraduate is saying something. The staff are unhelpful and unfriendly, treating you more like an annoyance than a valued customer; the halls are overpriced for what they are (expect to pay £13,500 for a small studio for a year) and they will try and squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Don't expect to leave with any of your deposit left as they will make up reasons to take all of it off of you and have the cheek to pretend that they're undercharging you (i.e. they should ask you for EVEN more money). This accommodation would be particularly ill-suited for first years/new students in York (I was the latter in my first year here) because there is very little opportunity to meet any other students, most of whom are friends from back home and have no interest in socialising. Go for Student Castle or a halls on campus, avoid Vita like the plague!
