Moving to Promenade Student Living after IQ Brighton has been a complete disaster. The heating doesn’t work, and management refuses to fix it, instead limiting gas to save money. I’ve also spotted rats just 10 meters from my open window—so now I keep it shut, even though the air inside is stifling. The management here is non-existent. I got stuck in the lift for 30 minutes during the day, banging on the doors and pressing the security button, but no one came to help. This is with maintenance and reception on duty! Speaking of reception, it closes at 5 PM and doesn’t open on weekends, so if you forget your key, good luck getting in without paying a fee and waiting forever for security. I’ve also lost packages because no one’s around to handle deliveries. Over the weekend, there were two drunk guys high on cocaine causing chaos. They even tried to fight me and my friend, and the police to get them out. This place doesn’t feel safe at all these guys were in that reception just gettin drunk and snorting cocaine the whole weekend. On top of that, the shared spaces are filthy because they don’t provide any cleaning supplies, and there’s construction noise at 7 AM every morning. The only redeeming quality is the location, but honestly, it’s not worth it. I deeply regret leaving IQ Brighton, which was much better managed and far more comfortable.
