Purbeck House, Cambridge

I stayed at Purbeck House during my final year at uni and I enjoyed my time there a lot. It is a very modern building with nice rooms and high quality furniture. The location is great. Just a couple of minutes away from the train station and there are plenty of grocery stores, banks and a cinema just around the corner. The management and maintenance team is very nice and helpful.

I really loved my little flat (Type B)!!!. It was a home away from home. The rooms are spacious and although the front door may sometimes not work due to the fire alarm unlocking it (usually fixed swiftly), the room doors are very secure and I've always felt safe. The Bathroom is a god size and water pressure was also good, the kitchen and living room space is large and easily accommodated my friends for our fun cooking and games nights. Maintenance staff works hard to keep the common spaces clean and tidy and the common room is newly decorated and invites for a study session or a bit of TV watching, also, the vending machines seem to be stocked fresh daily. :) The lady working at reception was always very helpful and kind, I honestly don't know where she takes all her patience and understanding from to manage such a huge site. A lot of the rooms face the train tracks but windows are very effective at shutting out any noise. The leisure centre is just a short walk away and grocery stores are open late into the night. Purbeck is just a sort walk from the translation and is has an excellent bus connection to the City centre. (On foot it takes about 40 min to the heart of the centre). the gym is also just around the corner. For me Purbeck was at a prime location, away from the busy main roads but close to essential stores. I can only recommend Purbeck and every penny spent was worth it!!!

I stayed at Purbeck House in Cambridge for around 2 semesters. The accommodation was just perfect. It was a huge apartment including a fitted kitchen. Furthermore it is locates at a safe area and it is protected by CCTV and the security staff. It was always possible to reach someone from the office, when it was needed. I really enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend this property to other students.
