The Trigon, Sheffield

I wouldn’t stay here ever again if somebody paid me, i’ve been put into a horrendously situation to the point i’m not staying in my own flat because i feel unsafe and yet i’m still being forced to pay excessive rent payments on top of train tickets to go home just to feel safe, there’s nothing that implements that people keep social areas clean and my kitchen is disgusting, the wifi works about two hours a day and the office team have done next to nothing to help anyone that needs them, absolutely appauling and not worth the money at all, luckily it is 5 minutes away from the train station so you can get away quickly.

Having seen friends' accommodation during my first year, I can easily say that the Trigon beats them all. The location is fantastic with the city campus being a walk away as well as the gym and various shops. The halls themselves were modern and my flat was spotless when I arrived, very important for me as I've been told I'm a bit of a clean freak! The staff are lovely and immediately made me feel at home even though I was incredibly nervous my first few days, they were always around for a chat and willing to help with any problem. The maintenance team were fantastic and any issues I had with my flat were resolved on the same day as reporting the problem. Overall a great place to stay, so great I'm moving in again next year!

Loved staying in Trigon during my first year at university. The accommodation is in easy walking distances to both campuses, train station and the city. The staff members are friendly and welcoming. I found it so good that my flatmates and I are moving in again next year! Thank you

I lived in Trigon for the first year of university and I am going to live there for my second year as well. Staff are super friendly and there if you need a chat or want to make a request for something to be fixed in your flat. Usually things are fixed on the same day you report it depending on the time which is great. Everyone I've met in Trigon has been lovely and it's super close to uni, the gym and the shops! Definitely recommend if you want somewhere that feels like home!

Great place to stay as a 1st year

I came to University with a broken leg (drunken episode not to be repeated!!) and I hadn't originally picked Trigon as a choice of accommodation. But due to me being on crutches, I couldn't climb the four flights of stairs that I was going to have to in the halls of residence I was accepted into and so University got me a place at Trigon - and aren't I glad I got moved!! The halls and rooms themselves are immaculate, modern and have everything you need for your first experience from living away from home. From a trusty place to send your parcels so you don't have to trek to the post/sorting office (even though it isn't very far) to a place where you can play snooker and have your new friends round to watch movies (common room). Overall, great sized flats and sized halls of residence to start your new independent lifestyle, a stone through away to the main buildings at uni (city campus - 5 mins walk) and 5 minutes to the bus and train stations too!

I was so pleased with everything to do with the Trigon apart from I was placed in A block which is separated from the rest of the halls. This meant I didn't have as much chance to socialise and the laundry/common room was not on hand. Everything else was really good and staff were all really nice and helpful!

When I had to pick my accommodation for my first year at University, The Trigon was my first option. This was largely because my brother had also gone to Sheffield Hallam University and knew that The Trigon was by far the best and nicest accommodation available. I was lucky enough to get a space in The Trigon, and am so glad I did. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and attentive - from your first to your last day there. There is always someone in the reception if you need anything, and security are there in the evenings in case. They also have an out of hours number for emergencies which is comforting when moving to a big city! The flats themselves are also great. I lived with 3 others (1 girl and 1 boys), and we all had en-suite with a really nice, clean room! The kitchen/lounge was open plan and was just enough for what we needed. The location is great - you're only a 5 minute walk from the Student Union, and about a 5-10 minute walk to the University itself. This was really useful if you wanted to walk back to the Trigon after lectures if you had a big gap in the day before your afternoon lectures. The train station & bus stations are also located nearby which was really convenient for me personally. There's a small Sainsbury's round the corner for quick shops as well as some bigger stores about 10-15 mins away for stocking up. I would definitely recommend the Trigon as a great all-rounder. My experience there was so positive that I have opted to live there in my final year in The Cube (just across the road) with the girl I met in my flat in first year at the Trigon! Having lived at The Trigon now for a second year, I have nothing but wonderful words to describe my enjoyable experience living here. Moving away from home can be daunting at first, however seeing all the friendly faces when moving into The Trigon eliminated my worries. The welcoming staff soon made my student living experience feel like it was a home away from home, as the supportive staff are always there to offer their help! 24/7! I discovered that The Trigon is the perfect place to live in Sheffield. This is because I’m able to study in the comfort of my own Ensuite Bedroom using free Wifi. I am able to go to Uni, go to the gym and also go shopping all within walking distance! I really enjoyed the Returner’s Evening, as this was where we had a chat over some nibbles and I received awesome advice about future living. At The Trigon, I have had the opportunity to become a Student Ambassador for my accommodation. This enabled me to show future students around The Trigon, informing them of my positive University living experience so far. This is something I loved doing as it made me feel proud. Living at The Trigon is tremendous!

I chose Trigon in my first year after attending an open day were I viewed the accommodation. It's a great location if you are studying at the city campus because it is about a 10 minute walk. I have lived in Trigon for the entirety of my degree because I didn't see the point in moving because it is simply great. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always polite. The security staff are also available at night if you lose your keys after a night out or you have neighbours making too much noise. If you need something repairing then all you have to do is report it and most times it can be fixed on the same day that it is reported. Overall Trigon makes university living a great experience.

I choose The Trigon for my first year accommodation after viewing it on a sheffield hallam open day, it seemed like a great place to live on the tour with friendly and very welcoming staff and stayed true to that through the year. On the first day (coming originally from cleethorpes and never having been to sheffield) the staff were very helpful in helping me get to where i needed to be for everything i needed. A great central location means nothing is more than a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The rooms are very well equipped with many sockets/ethernets for all needs, wifi was super reliable and never gave up even when on nukerous devices, the facilities are great even though i dodnt really make use of them. Pool table, tv, console all you could need really for a social meet with people you know. 24 hour security is well managed, having had a few problems being solved instantly. After i left here i returned for a summer job and realised that it wasnt just a face the staff put on working with all of them closely seeing they are genuinely caring and want everyone who lives there to enjoy there time. Overall an excellent accommodation topped by none of the others that i visited to see coursemates, a top pick and for such a cheap price i expected much less but was pleasently surprised.

I've been staying in Trigon since Tarc summer course. Its one of the best accommodation I can say. Its location is perfect for SHU student which only within 5 mins walking distance to city campus. Management staff were friendly. Recommended for SHU students especially newcomers.
