Unsafe if you’re living on any other floor but the top two. A flat on the ground floor was broken into through the SINGLE GLAZED window in broad daylight and the stuff looted from the student’s rooms. No radiators - just timed heaters that can’t be left on so your room is often so cold that your bed feels damp. Noise from the main road outside is terrible because only single glazed windows. Major black mould issues - on the ceiling and in the bathroom. Tiny communal area and kitchen storage is too small to accommodate six people in one flat. The rooms were not clean when we moved in, also the block that our flat was in did not have a lift. All expenses are spared from making improvements to the building which wouldn’t make it more luxurious but actually just make it liveable. Refused to waive our last rent payment during the COVID pandemic despite the majority of Salford student accommodations doing this.
An abysmal gathering of atrocities within the darkest part of planet Earth, Salford. Rooms are reasonably sized but were not repainted (which I was told would happen) by the time I moved in. The rooms were however already decorated, although it was quite messy and many areas have been spoiled by a lack of care whilst painting. In fact it looks as if someone put a grenade in a tub of paint in my bathroom, a healthy splash on everything including the towel rail, mirror, sink and toilet. Speaking of the bathroom, it is quite a disgrace, partly due to the previous user's entire head of hair stuck in, and hanging out of the shower plug hole, not to mention the hair running down the shower wall. Another thing to note is the unusual growth in my extractor fan, it looks like something from the Great Barrier Reef, red/brown moss seeping out. I guess it could be seen as a positive as you temporarily wonder off to the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy a moment of bliss, however when you inevitably return to reality and you've been sat on your toilet staring at a ceiling day dreaming, you will no doubt have a moment of despair as you realise you're paying for solitary confinement in what can only be described as the Fourth Circle of Dante's Divine Comedy. I guess it also comes down to who you stay with, when you're paired with empty-headed cretins who don't understand the principle of cleaning or how to sustain themselves in a civil manner, it can become passively depressing. Staff for the most part are great, the two main receptionists are polite and welcoming, always smiling and providing a bleak glimmer of hope in a time of despondency. The Maintenance guy on the other hand, is very vocal. He's great if you're interested in listening to him on the phone talking about scenarios at the pub and using lots of foul language, something I genuinely enjoyed from time to time, but trusting him to do a job correctly is ungodly. Overall, I would say prison time would have been therapeutic in comparison. Quite like prison actually, you will need friends to get through this. P.S. we renamed it Tram(p)ways...
cheaper than a lot of places and just as good nice staff and secure safe building with everything you need will book again

Staff are always very helpful. Rooms are nice and spacious. I feel safe at home due to the high level of security.
Tramways offers double beds as well as en suite facilities for just £101 a week. This is much cheaper then other student accommodation in the area. The area is completely gated and you can only enter with a fob. The management are lovely and will do anything for you. Yes people don't take out your rubbish and they don't have a maid, but let's remember we are 18/19/20 (young adults) and we should be doing this for ourselves! The rooms are okay, a lot of them need repainting from previous people and the carpet etc is very basic. The atmosphere of tramways on the whole is quiet which is good for people who need to study, but it can get loud on the weekends. There is a 24hr call out for a caretaker which has been handy.
didnt have hot water for best part of the year, oven only worked sometimes. people left binbags in the hallways, walls are paper thin, no one i lived with socialised - never seen them i just cleaned up after them. fire alarms waking everyone up past 2am, living area is shoddy- table and chairs basically falling apart. a flat on the bottom floor had one of their rooms broken into (someone smashed the window with a brick and broke in basically) i like having a double bed, the staff are pleasant and its quite close to the university and the train station, basically the only positives. dont think i would live here again.
- Horrible fire alarm will run at 2am - Water will leak down up the ceiling - Shared kitchen, bins will piled up, you need to clean up yourself - Do not take the rooms which face the road, fire truck, police cars and ambulance are really annoying. which are disturbing at night, especially the motor-bike however, the management are OK - post collection: office hr 9-5 - close to peel park campus and sport centre, but not prefer if you are staying in Media City or Allerton campus - Free campus link, but they are always late

Tramways is a tacky version of IQ, but it has everything the same but it is affordable. It doesn't have a common room but I never used the one in my old accommodation anyway. You get two sofas and a TV! Every students dream. Whenever there is an issue, the staff are on it straight away. One problem I found was that the fire alarms go off a lot, but that hasn't happened for a while now so it must be sorted. The beds are comfy and a small double, the desk space is large and the rooms are very roomy. Although it could use a chest of drawers under the desk or a side table next to the bed, but it has shelves and under the bed storage space. The wifi gets a bit slow at night and sometimes disconnects, but connects quickly straight away. I always find a free washing machine in the laundrette and never have to wait around. Collecting the post is really easy, the staff alert you by email straight away and you can collect it within the office hours. The reception staff are really lovely people, you can have a laugh with them and they made me feel very welcome on my first day, they also sort any problems straight away. I love it so much here that I've booked again for the next year!
