University of Chester, founded in 1839 as the UK’s first purpose-built teacher training college, has several campuses across the city. Exton Park is the main campus on Parkgate Road, home to the Students’ Union and a range of academic schools. The Wheeler Building in the city centre houses nursing, law and social sciences, and the Kingsway Creative Campus is home to arts and media courses. Boughton, further east, offers a quieter residential setting with good bus connections to the university and city centre.
