The Staff at Therese House is very very very friendly and helpful! They make me feel at home!! They are also very responsive when you need help. I love my room. It has everything a student needs! Its location is very convenient especially for CASS students. I highly recommend this place! Thank you Therese House :)
I have moved to Therese House, after two months at Depot Point, where my overall experience had been very dissatisfying. I have been really pleasantly surprised to see the huge contrast between these two student homes ran by the same company (The Student House Company). What makes Therese House, in my opinion, is really the two managing staff, Liz and Brad. They are ever so caring, polite and jovial, which was a sharp contrast to staff at Depot Point. Liz and Brad really care for the experience of each resident to be pleasant, and make sure the environment remains as such. For instance, they do not hesitate to send warning emails when complaints are filed regarding noise nuisance from inconsiderate residents, or residents smoking right in front of the building entrance (which could be another nuisance for residents whose rooms are on the ground floor and basement). Surprisingly, the emails are very effective at putting an end to such nuisance! Regarding the environment, Therese House is very modern, with rooms finished to a high standard, and with optimal space management for storage. The WiFi connection is excellent, which is key for any student. For the Location and safety, Therese House is located within 5 minutes from Barbican underground station. This was again a bonus for me, and anyone who would be studying late at their university, and would not want to worry about safety when coming home late. There are also two supermarkets located very near by (with one located within 5 minutes from Therese House, and closing quite late). For a PhD student in their writing up year, who was looking for a pleasant and quiet environment to concentrate, and with minimal stress, I could not have asked for a better place to call home. I HIGHLY recommend Therese House to any student looking for a quiet, pleasant, well managed property, with their interest put first, and looking for a home away from home.

I moved to London from the Dubai, back in January and I've lived at Therese House for about 9 months and I honestly had a great time! Both Brad and Liz at the reception are very helpful and genuinely go outta their way to guide you! I've had group get togethers and breakfast mornings with fellow residents, all organized by the staff at Therese House! In terms of maintenance and any sorta technical support, they've been very helpful, efficient and kind, each time! Location wise, Therese House is quite easily accessible and the Zone 1 location and Barbican Station is an added bonus !
Fantastic location and really good quality of rooms (newly refurbished). Best of all is the (Brad and Liz): they are really hospitable, attentive and friendly. Recommended!
Perfect place to live!!
The staff especially Bred and Liz are super helpful and friendly. Rooms are newly renovated and therefore nice and clean. The accommodation is located in a central and convenient location, few minutes walk from the Barbican Tube station. I completely recommend living here.
I spent a pleasant time at Therese House. Living there, the residents can benefit from a number of worthy advantages, making them feel right at home; among the others: the assistance of a friendly, kind and very efficient staff; a perfect location: modern, well equipped and delightfully furnished rooms; a cheerful, lively atmosphere, ideal for making new friends that will be for life. Therefore, I really appreciated my experience at Therese House, that deserves, other than recognition, also a special place in my heart and memories.
- Not many coomon areas - No 24hr Reception - No spare key - No proper Sound Isolation + Good Location + Good Staff on Managment
Therese house is an amazing place to stay , The staff is amazing as well as the location .
I love where I live, the staff and management is great and are always ready to help! The facilities are very convenient and the location is great too. Very easily accessible, center of Zone 1 and so far so good. I find myself really safe and happy here. It's a very comfortable atmosphere and I enjoy my time here. The studio flat is perfect for one, wanting a bit more space to themselves, with an Ensuite kitchen and bathroom. Really convenient and comfy too =)
The residence is great! High quality furniture, privacy and very friendly stuff! The only problem you may find is if you forget your key-card inside the room during the weekends or out office hours. You hav to call a phone number in which you do not always get an answer. If they answered you and open your door you have to pay ยฃ50! So do not forget it!
Therese House is my first experience of living in London and I honestly believe there is nowhere that could have been better. I live in a studio and the room is fully furnished and completely brand new, including a double bed, huge wardrobe, great kitchen facilities a Samsung Smart TV and even little USB wall chargers which are really handy! There is lots of storage space and I've managed to make it my own, it feels cosy and like my own space which I love. It's not just the room that is great. Location wise, you are situated perfectly in the midst of central London. Barbican tube station is a 2 minute walk and from there you can get transport to places such as Oxford Street, Kings Cross and Westminster in less than 20 minutes. You can even walk into Angel within 15 minutes which has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Finally, if you do get bored of your room and don't want to travel out, there is a brand new common room in the basement that has 2 large flat screen TVs. beanbags and table football. This is perfect for chilling out in on the weekend and everyone that I have met has been super friendly and welcoming. Overall, I absolutely love Therese House and would completely recommend it. The staff at reception are lovely and are really helpful with anything you might struggle with, the people are friendly and great to get on with. The rooms are really modern and have everything you need and if you want to experience London then you are in the perfect location to do so. I don't want to leave!
therese house is located 5 min away from the tube station and many bus stops and other amenities such as the barbican center, virgin active, street market,,,. the building was recently refurbished giving a high quality and comfort rooms. Also, the management team is very nice and helpful trying to make everyone feel comfortable, at home. Thank you Therese house for being my home in London.
I lived here for 7 months during which I kept long hours and admittedly spent very little time at Therese House. Centrally located, it is well placed. However, the reception staff are the secret to their success! They go out of their way to make the stay that much better, some 5* hotels ought to take some tips. The rooms are very well maintained, I may have missed every postal delivery for me, but Brad and Liza were always happy to drop it in my room for me before they left seeing as I was never there. All in all, I could not have hoped for a better stay, knowing there was such a formidable duo managing the property meant it was an impeccable experience.
Great place to live, really helpful and friendly staff, really lovely and clean facilities. Rooms are spacious, maintenance is carried our regularly. Only downside is the cost, but would defiantly recommend.
I've been living here for two years, I love the location + management and the classy and simple interior of this place. I would recommend this place to other students who are looking for a place that is centrally located and value for money.
Therese House provides a fun and safe environment to live in. The staff are absolutely brilliant and always friendly and attend to whatever questions or needs you have. The location is perfect because generally everything is walking distance and there is a tube station 7 minutes walk away. For the first place I lived in on my own it has been wonderful and I would recommend living here to anyone.
Therese house situated in a central area of London, 3 mins walk to Barbican station, 10-15 mins walk to Old street station. You have everything which you needed here, 5 mins walk to HSBC, and 2 mins walk to Tesco, and another 10 mins walk to Waitrose. The accommodation is offer such a good price to stay, management here is also organised so well. Overall, if you looking for a student studio in east-west London, this would be a good option!
It's location is extremely convenient and although the building is in central London, it's secluded which makes it a quiet area. The staff are very helpful and friendly which has been one of the best aspects of living here. The building is also secure and always clean. I've enjoyed living here and would definitely recommend it!
I love the location. Close to the underground, several schools as well as shops. Management is very helpful and friendly.
Friendly and very helpful staff, good location, easy access to tube & many bus routes, good quality of the rooms
It is the perfect location to go around central London with Barbican station just a 2min walk from the flat. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. The flat is really warm even without turning on the heater. The only downside to this place is the lack of certain facilities, eg: gym and I was hoping for a 24hr reception for 7 days a week if there are incoming weekend parcels/ if we require maintenance. Other than that, I would recommend staying here.
near tube station, great and helpful staff. Quiet which is very nice for study.
Nice location helpful staff
Therese House is a really good choice. Excellent central location and 3 minute walk away from Barbican station. Also close to supermarkets like Tesco or Waitrose. But as it is located off the main streets, it is quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean and looks very nice. The maintenance staff is really helpful and efficient! Moreover, management staff are really friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile!
Having Re-Booked a few times in a row, it was down to the helpfulness of the staff and great location. That reception desk are always smiling and helping us all feel at home and assisting us with anything that's needed. I would recommend these halls for so many reasons, but the staff is one of the main reasons.
Very good location and good rooms. Management incredibly helpful and friendly. It is relatively expensive but the quality you get is worth it, compared to other student houses that face continuous issues this feels more like a hotel than halls. No complaints :)
perfect location, good quality student bedrooms, friendly and helpful staff (Liz and Brad) and most importantly quiet and safe - perfect for committed students looking for a place to stay in the city!
Therese house located in a very nice location with a 3 minutes walk from Barbican station. It is a very quite place, despite its location off the main streets. There are also a Tesco and small supermarket nearby, so it is very convenient for a quick grocery shopping. All staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to help and all off your problems will be solved in no time. The room and kitchen are very clean and in good condition. Quite small shower box in the bathroom but it is not a big problem. It is still a nice place to stay.
Very friendly management. Perfect location.
Fantastic location, modern clean rooms, and the most kind and helpful staff!
Therese House
The halls are in a central location, which has great transport links to the rest of London. TH is off the main road so it's nice and quiet. Furthermore, there is a Tesco within a 2-minutes walk, and a Sainsbury's local about 5 minutes away. The staff are really friendly and helpful too and have made my stay here really enjoyable :)

From the moment I started looking at accommodations in London this one had always been my first choice. It has a prime location, the staff is spectacular, and I couldnโt be any happier with my choice. Having a place like Therese House to come home to is a blessing when I have heard horror stories about the student accommodations in London.
I've been living abroad for the majority of my life. None of the student residences offered the same sort of completion and satisfaction as Therese House does. Why? Let's start with the quality of the room. I live in a studio, which is spacious and allows for two large suitcases to stack (without feeling being cramped). The cabinet has three shelves and a vertical metal bar to hang your clothes. The kitchen has two electric stoves and sufficient for a single person to cook. The table itself is the most impressive part of the room. Its generous size allows a bookworm like myself to put my precious gems all over it (not to mention two enormous book shelves above the table). The lighting is perfect for reading and studying late at night. The only minor issue I have with the room is the bed. It's a soft, single bed, but a person over 6 feet (180cm or taller) might have trouble placing their legs/feet. However, with small adjustments, you can still comfortably sleep on it. Overall, I can't emphasize how much I appreciate having such a room. Moving on the location, I want to you that this is possibly the best, most convenience place to live in London. It is only three minutes away from Barbican Tube station. Different bus lines along Goswell Road/Clerkenwell Road can bring you to different hidden areas of the city. Holborn is only 10 minutes by walking. Liverpool street is 15 minutes by walking as well. Waitrose, Tesco, Cooperative, Chinese small supermarkets are all nearby. Hipster cafes (Look mum no hands, Timberyard, Fix Coffee...etc) give you an alternative work space if you don't feel like going to the libraries. Even though the site doesn't have a gym, Virgin Active, City Sports, Gym Box are all good choices. If you feel like playing sports outside, don't fret. There is a basketball court and small football field near Bastwick Street. Lastly, let's talk about the management team here. Liz and Brad are the best duet in overseeing the entire accommodation. Their friendly smiles make you feel at home and they will always remember who you are (in spite of the hundreds of other students living in the same accommodation) Most importantly, they are responsive and competent in dealing with all kinds of matters. Once you email them a problem (eg broken toilet), they will immediately ask the maintenance to fix it for you. If you feel bored, you can always go to the reception to have a small chat with them. Their presence is what makes Therese House unique. You might think paying 255 pounds a week is a bit too expensive. My answer to you is that it is definitely worth it. All the costs and facilities are covered for you plus all the benefits I just mentioned above. Give it a try and repeat after me: "Therese House is love. Therese House is life."
Excellent location, very friendly staff, well maintained and great rooms!
Great central location, very clean and modern property, feel very safe and comfortable, extremely helpful staff!
Ideal location for most London University and easy access to tube & many bus routes!

As a student from America, finding housing without actually seeing it beforehand was difficult, but I couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff was extremely helpful, flexible, and accommodating, and now that I live here, they are friendly and a pleasure to speak to. The location is also excellent - zone one, within walking distance of an underground station, countless bus stops, coffee shops, gyms, and a number of great restaurants, bars, and clubs (but not so close that they keep you up at night). The room is extremely comfortable, and if/when we need maintenance work done, they are quick, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend Therese House, it's proven to be a great place to live!
Location's perfect, right next to a tube, with plenty of shops nearby and only about a 10 minute walk from the Thames. Great rooms, with everything you really need. Staff are amazing and have been superbly helpful to me throughout the entirety of my stay, plus being incredibly friendly helps. All in all, great place to stay and couldn't be happier.
Therese House located just 5 mins away from Barbican station, as also 5 mins from Cass Business School and old street, it is a very convenient location. In addition, respond of reception and management team is always fast and efficient which makes Therese House even better. However, because it is private accommodation, there is no security team working during weekend, and it is an inconvenience when you forget your key at your room, and there will be a charge for asking security to come and open the door.
Very good location in central London and very kind staff.

Me and my partner are staying at the Therese house and It's actually a very nice place! It is clean and located right near the museum of London and Barbican centre. There are lots of supermarkets like tesco, waitrose etc., underground is literally 2 min away from the building. It is a nice area because here you would not find lots of tourists and everyone is very friendly and nice. In the office there are usually two people (a guy and a girl) and they are very very nice to talk to, they are always here for us if we need something, they always smile and they greet you in the mornings and in the evenings:) to conclude it is (again) a very nice place in the very nice area with a very nice people :)))

Perfect location, easy access to everywhere in the city and there are also very fun and functional things around the area. The rooms are nice and if you have any problem with the installations or with any aspect of the building, the management team will happily try to fix it as soon as possible.
I contacted the team and they have been very friendly and helpful. I chose Therese House because I saw it apparently had a good location and good reviews. I was not disappointed. I have a rent for a studio, it's 16 meter square with a small bathroom a small kitchen. The room looks like what you see on the website, no surprise. The carpet is not perfect, but it's still fine. I don't find the mattress very comfortable, but I got used to it and now it's ok. The rest of the furniture is completely fine: desk, chairs and table. I like that I don't hear my neighbours, the building is overall calm. The basement has a comfortable living room with sofa, tables, library, tv. If you want to go out, the location is great. 10mn walk to City University, 15mn walk to Shoreditch (nightlife), 10mn walk to St.Paul cathedral, 20mn walk to Angel, 30mn walk to Oxford street. Barbican tube is just around the corner, 2 stops to St.Pancras and Kings Cross stations. You have Waitrose and Tesco for your groceries and Argos if you need furnitures. Plus it's very safe, never felt in danger. The street is quiete, as almost no cars pass in Glasshouse Yard. The one thing I don't really appreciate is the laundry room. The machines are not always clean because some tenants probably do something wrong, but I feel like nobody of the maintenance is taking care of it. ANYWAY!! If you are looking for a place in London, I'm sure you won't be disappointed by Therese House. No surprises and everything you need to enjoy the city at hand.
Friendly Staff. Good location.
The management team is really friendly and helpful. The location is also good, two mins walk to barbican tube station & TESCO, 5 mins to Waitrose is just fantastic. The room is not super fancy but it's bigger than most the other student halls I've ever been to, and the shared kitchen is also spacious. It is quiet in general, no parties, wonderful for postgrads.

Very friendly feeling accommodation. Great staff and maintenance team always on site. Excellent location with fantastic room views. Train station is a few blocks away.
Excellent location - 2 minutes away from Barbican tube station (for Central, Metropolitan and H&C lines) and 8 minutes away from Farringdon station (for National Rail Services, e.g. going to Gatwick Airport) Quiet - ideal for when you're writing your dissertation or revising for exams A+ management - they're lifesavers for when you have a busted lightbulb or whatever issue with your room (so far, they've managed to settle issues within a day) and they always greet you with a smile and a chat
To stay in Therese House likes to stay at home. A prefect location, prefessional and nice managers and comfortable romm, all my demonds to student accommodation are satisfied. It is really a wonderful choice for student to stay in London.
Amazing for students and an even more amazing location. Especially for students who search for a quiet accommodation Therese House serves as perfect match.
I've honestly had a very pleasant time while at Therese House. The location is absolutely brilliant, with Barbican Underground Station and Tesco Express literally just a 1 minute walk away, not to mention that Fabric Club is just almost round the corner! The place is also hidden from all the traffic so it's quiet and chill which is great! The rooms are very nice and cozzy and everything looks neat and tidy the first time you enter. The maintenance staff is also very helpful if you need anything so don't hesitate to ask! The management is quite on point and the guys at the reception are always so kind and willing to answer any enquiries you might have! Everyday you walk out to go to school they greet you with a pleasant 'Good Morning!' and a big smile to start your day :D!
Great staff, mature students, quiet scenery aids studying and the location is great regardless of the university location
- great location -helpful staff -safe -comfortable living spaces
I have experience with a few student halls in London, and Therese House easily stands out. It is located in a central area that is well connected to all parts of London, but it is still hidden in a quiet street. All kinds of reasonable requests (exchange of broken equipment such as microwave or bulbs) are dealt with within a few days if it's not within the same day. Parcels are safely kept at the reception and can be collected anytime during office hours. Members of staff are always very helpful and attentive creating welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend it.
Really great location. Safe and convenient. Staff are quite friendly. They remember everyone's name and will write you an email personally when you have a parcel.
good service, perfect location and friendly staff
Perfect Location, Friendly Staff, Nice people in general. Building is secure and safe, close to everything, rooms are clean, modern and nice to live in. I would recommend this property, because for its location and condition price is really good.
The studios really feel like little appartments, we are far away from the dirty student dorm room! Location is excellent, and I feel VERY safe in this building. The staff js very helpfull and kind!
This is my second year living in Therese House. It's located at a nice area: with various grocery stores nearby; the Barbican tube station; and even Smithfield (prob sounds crazy to you but I do roll out of bed super early in the morning just to get some cheaper eggs/ cheese/ meat there as it only takes around 5 mins to get to Smithfield!) The staff are really friendly and caring. I remember complaining about my neighbours from last year making the kitchen dirty and untidy (I share a kitchen). This year they have specifically arranged to have students who are concerned about cleanliness to be one of my neighbours! The staff really do take the issues that I've raised seriously.

Whether you're looking for a quiet place to live or somewhere to meet friends and have some fun, Therese House has it all. Everyone is respectful of people's space and quiet time, but the existing common room is a great place to spend time with friends without having to worry about disturbing anyone. The location is really central, 2 min away from Barbican Station and close to loads of shops, coffee places and pubs. Spacious rooms and loads of natural light was a huge plus for me (I was in an en-suite room). Almost flawless internet connection in the whole building. The staff are very friendly and helpful and, if you have any problems at night, there is an "emergency" phone number you can contact. The rent is a bit expensive, but as it is Central London, they can get away with it. Overall, I would recommend to anyone who asks to stay at Therese!
I've been living in There House for 3 years now and am sad to go. The rooms are great and the management is friendly and helpful. When sharing a flat you can always be lucky or unlucky with your flatmates and I have lived with both ends of the spectrum. But the management has tried well to communicate in between parties when problems persisted. With its central location There House is a great place to stay!
The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. The management team are really friendly and helpful, and it is in a great central location which is perfect for getting to uni and going out. If you want a quiet room to study this is also perfect as there is little noise, but you need to have friends already or make them at uni as not much social life here. All in all though, a really great place to live with london right on your doorstep!
Great halls, the only two criticisms are: 1) Furniture in the rooms could be arranged much better to create more space 2) there is no great social atmosphere and it can be quite hard to meet new people. The Common room is very small. Otherwise great halls with a very friendly and helpful management team.
Therese House is conveniently located next to barbican station. It is also 2 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop (bus 55) which goes to oxford circus. My stay here has been a very pleasant one, especially with the support from our friendly and helpful management team (Brad, Claire and Megan). I've never had any problem since i moved in almost a year ago. and I have singed a contract to extend my stay for another year! :)
Perfect Location, Helpful Staff
I actually decided to live in Therese House thanks to the reviews in this page and the pictures on their website. I was really pleased that everything looked as it did on the pictures. No bad surprises there. The building's location is great. Close to all the great central locations in the city, with lots of good choices in eating just a walk away, and two good supermarkets (Tesco and Waitrose) nearby. The staff is super friendly and available to help you with any issues you may have. Any repairs or similar problems are promptly taken care of. Even when you have tons of requests, they kindly do what's possible for them to aid you. All the facilities in the building are open 24h in case you want to do some late laundry or meet with friends. I loved my stay there. I was quite pleased with my investment. Living in London, especially in this area can be expensive, but I feel the money was spent well. The only downside was some of the neighbours, but I guess you're open to find those anywhere. And it's still some minor stuff that doesn't make it unbearable. Everywhere you'll find great and bad neighbours, so I guess that's more personal luck. I can honestly and completely recommend living here. I completely recommend
From the very first day, everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. The staff always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome, they're very attentive and will always do their best to make your stay comfortable. Location is perfect and very central. Barbican station is 3 mins walk away. Farringdon station is also close by. The City university and uni of law (both in Moorgate) are only 15 mins walking distance. My silver studio room was clean and spacious. Also, I've never had any problems with the fast internet connection, which is invaluable these days. All the staff, without exception were friendly and helpful. I would particularly like to commend Brad. His excellent service and friendly manner exceeds expectations and hats off to the management of Therese House for employing such polite and well mannered staff. I cannot thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality and fun friendly spirit. I am sad to leave, but the great memory lives on! I would recommend Therese House without hesitation and will certainly be back if i live in london.
