I'm Louis, a French student who lived at Canto Court from September 2021 to July 2022. It was an amazing experience and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Most importantly, there was always someone at the front desk at any time of the day and night. Safety is a priority at Canto Court, with multiples sturdy doors that need to be activated with your card to enter the building and navigate within it, and regular fire alarm exercises. I have encountered absolutely no noise disturbance for the duration of my stay, even when there were parties in the common areas. Although I am a light sleeper, I was never woken up (or prevented to fall asleep) by an external noise. The residence is extremely well maintained: when a door knob or a washing machine is out of order (there are 4 of them, so it is very rare to have to wait to do the laundry), it is swiftly repaired. Moreover, when you have small repairs to do in your room (toilet doesn't flush right, sink is clogged, desk chair needs a replacement wheel, etc.), you just have to send an email and the repair is completed in a very short time. Rooms themselves are very cosy (I lived in a classic studio), with everything you need: kitchen, table, bed, desk, and bathroom. They are also soundproof (you don't hear your neighbours). Truly, it is worth every penny. The residence itself is in a very calm and safe neighborhood. I walked every day to my university in Holborn and never ever did I encounter the slightest problem. At night, the streets are very safe too. Canto Court is within 5 minutes of the Old Street metro station, and there is a bus stop connected to the 243 line (operating 24/7 and going through central London) literally 20 meters away from the front door. There are no less than three grocery shops within 5 minutes walk (a Co-op, a Marks & Spencer, and a Sainsbury's), and an Argos shop next to the Co-op to buy crockery or bed furniture. I could go on and on about every little detail that I enjoyed about this place but I think you've gotten the point. This place is number one if you're looking for student accommodation in London, without any doubt. There is an attention for detail and an empathy emanating from the staff that is absolutely exceptional. TL;DR: Would recommend 100%.

Lovely student accommodation which is a couple mins from Old Street Station, many shops, supermarkets an restaurants near by. The staff are amazing very helpful. Rooms are modern and comfortable.
I have lived in Canto Court for 4 years, and have enjoyed my stay to the fullest. The location is very convenient with restaurants, bars and public transport options available very close to the accommodation. Social space and the rooms are very good and comfortable, and the team managing the building is excellent. I highly recommend Canto.
A stress-free, most comfortable and safest living
Canto Court is a perfect student accommodation which is 5 mins from Old Street Station. The staff is very friendly and I have really enjoyed social life in the hall. I have changed three accommodations around this area and this one is the best for me in all aspects. Rooms are really cozy and there is everything you need for a comfortable life. Also, it is the most quiet accommodation where I lived.
This is a gem of a place to live in London as a student. Situated centrally with close proximity to major tube stations like old street, barbican, etc. makes traveling so much easier. Due to it's location traveling to university and exploring around London is easy and serves as a big plus point. The accommodation is very cozy and rooms are big and spacious which is a rarity in central London. There are no unnecessary loud noise, good outdoor courtyard and common room. The best part about this accommodation is it's management team. They are super prompt with their replies and in addressing any issues or grievances. They know all the tenants living there and give personalized service to everyone. They have well equipped facilities and amenities. The internet is fast and have never experienced any interruption regarding it. All in all, an amazing place to stay if you are in London as a student and want to experience London at it's best.
Best time in Canto! Met a lot of friends from different backgrounds. Staff was very nice and always willing to help. Martha, Marcin and Ian extremely heart warming people. I will forever call Canto my home.
Canto Court has been my home for the past year. I have felt extremely safe here, given that it is located in central London, and that itself is saying a lot. Security is always working round the clock. Location is superb, as I studied in Holborn/Chancery and there are two direct buses just downstairs below the building (buses 55 and 243). Old street tube station, grocery shops, restaurants, a food market, a Superdrug, pharmacy etc are all within extremely close walking distance. I could not recommend this accommodation enough for prospective students looking for a place to call home.
Stayed 8 weeks over the summer. Management is very friendly and correct. The atmosphere is nice, the gym is free (no treadmill though but go for a run) and the whole place is very clean. The inside yard is a nice place to chill and also quiet at night (during summer at least). Since my room had a window to the yard rather than to the street, that dimmed down the central london noises which was appreciated. The room are spacious, everything is in there and even a vacuum cleaner is even provided. Small minuses are the laundry rooms, were out for 2 days, and as expected in central London, no AC. The mattress was rather uncomfortable too but if youโre coming for long term, just bring your own. In summary, I donโt think you will find any better student houses in central london, also thanks to the great management.
Prime location, very close bus stops, short walk to old street tube, many grocery store options, etc. The common spaces are always clean and lively on evenings and the weekends, but never too loud. Problems are handled immediately, especially maintenance by Ian! With someone always at the reception, I feel safe. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you Martin and Marta for making canto court my 2nd home
The place is very convenient in terms of location. There are bus stops right in front taking you directly to downtown like Oxford Circus in just 30 mins. And also 5mins walk to Old street station for northern line underground. There are supermarkets nearby including co-op and waitrose which make it so convenient for grocery shopping. Staffs are also very nice and active. They recognizes each student and even their guests. They reply to your email very fast and fix your problem very fast too. Common area is cozy but somehow can be too crowded during exam period. One problem is their wifi signal if you watch movie or youtube.
Safe, clean and central! Friendly Staff!!! Very organized!! Please spend your time as a student in this accommodation.
I've stayed for an year in Canto Court. It has a great staff and an excellent atmosphere. A very good location and all the facilities have good conditions.
First of all, Canto Court is located in a brilliant neighbourhood! Supermarkets, 2 tube stations - everything is close, and not very crowded. Secondly, this accommodation is very clean, cosy and you really feel yourself home away from home. The stuff is wonderful - friendly and is willing to help any minute. Iโll be glad to stay here again!
Enjoyed staying here. The room is cosy and clean. Stuff is always there to help you. Great restaurants and pubs in a walking distance.
Canto Court has an incredibly convenient location and it is close to central universities. The rooms are brand-new and fully equipped. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone studying in London.
My 1-year stay at Canto Court was beyond delightful! From the very beginning I felt very much at home, not only because the staff is really friendly, but also because the residence is homey and well looked after! The rooms do feel more like apartments which are modern and very well organised in a way which makes them very easy to personalise! Overall, I truly believe this place is outstanding and I would recommend it to both undergraduate and postgraduate students!
One of the best, if not the best student accommodations. Lived there for three years. Beautiful and convenient rooms with everything needed for perfect stay. Very helpful staff and good facilities.
Very nice accommodation, I have lived here for two years. Excellent location and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious enough for one person and the common areas are clean as well as pleasant to use.
In love with this accommodation. I live here for 2 years now and I'm going to stay for my 3rd year as well. Lovely staff. Amazing maintenance, if anything is not okay it is fixed straight away. Really like the design of the rooms and study area. Parties are really nice as well.
I have been living in canto court since a year and I can say that it was the best accommodation experience in London so far. My old accommodation used to take ages to fix even the small problems that I used to have in my room (Ex. Fridge broke down, leakings). At canto court they were able to fix those problems in a very short time. The staff has always been friendly and available, trying to do the best they could to make me feel a the home. I would definitely recommend first years to this accommodation as it is very central and the environment is relaxed and friendly.
Good property , kind team members, wonderful location
People in reception are very helpfull and nice. It is vrey clean and safe place to live.

The best place in London to make yourself feel homely. The staff and management are super concerned about you and your well being. They provide the best services and are the most efficient team I know. They have been very considerate and kind to me. Being involved in lots of trouble they have been very helpful.i will recommend every student to try out this place. Thank you marta ma'/am and all the staff for the stay I will never forget.????????
very good location and good room!
Canto Court was one of the best accommodations I stayed in! Great staff - very friendly, helpful and just make you feel like at home! Brilliant location, just 3 minutes to my school - CASS and City University main campus. Rooms are also great - very spacious and with lots of storage! It was said to leave it all behind... Would recommend this hall to anybody
Best student accommodation I have stayed at!
Canto Court offer studio apartment for students at an excellent location. It is close to Old Street tube station (5 minutes walk), with several supermarkets (i.e. Coop and Waitrose) and fitness centres within the vicinity. An added bonus for those who are students of Cass Business School that is only 6 minutes away and food lovers; the Whitecross food market is just around the corner. With that being said, the place can get noisy at times - if your room is facing the street side it is quite a busy road, and if your room is facing the courtyard there are occasional "parties" at night. The windows are double-glazed, but there are times when the room gets too hot and have to let some air in. During the winter, the room can get rather cold as well, as the room heater is quite aged. The room kitchen is cute, with a standard two hobs and a microwave, but does not provide an oven for cooking. An excellent innovation for the room is the fold-able bed; you can get more space in the room if you fold the bed into the wall. The management is always friendly and helpful. The social space is lively with a courtyard which can be used for BBQ, a billiard table, a mini-cinema and some study spaces. However, for the building of such size, the place have a lack of washing machines - there are only 3 in total. During peak times you have to wait to do the laundry. Also, the machines only accepts coins, as opposed to the newer card based ones available in other accommodations. The rental price is reasonable considering the property prices in London and the "premium" status of studio student accommodations. If you want to look for something less expensive then you might want to try shared accommodations or sharing an apartment with friends. Overall I would recommend Canto Court for students looking for a reasonably sized bedroom with a private bathroom and kitchen.
Okey but expansive
The room in Canto Court is quite spacious compared to other university halls. The value for money is acceptable for first year students. The social space is very lively everyday so it is a nice place to meet new people. The room is soundproof when windows are closed so you won't get disturbed by the outside noises. The management team are very helpful regarding all the repairs or general enquiries. There is 24 hour security, ready to help in case of emergency. The location is surrounded by restaurants and is a walking distance to the university and case business school. The building and room decoration is so modern. Overall, it is a great accommodation.
Canto court is a great place and experience to stay in. Perfect location. A suggestion would be 24/7 security, and enquiries should be done faster (i.e. breakdowns, lockouts). Overall a place to recommend to a friend!

The life is always out of service. Quality of room sucks. The curtain the provided is only for decoration which is much smaller than the window. The fridge stinks since I moved in. Every single item need to be fixed on the day I moved in Im wondering why they don't check and fix everything before. This really cause me a lot of trouble on that day.
