Overall, good value for money. Location - really excellent, just five minutes walk from the high street and plenty of shops nearby (Tesco and Sainsbury's within 2 minute walk) Internet access- superb: quick and very reliable (I think included in the rent?) Water and heating also included in rent Parking- practically none Management- very responsive, friendly and helpful. Any problems are always quickly dealt with by the caretaker. Room size- small but functional. Rooms can vary in size and shape, so would recommend visiting before booking to choose a room. (Room 7 is probably the largest room on the first floor) Cleaning before arrival- poor, but quickly rectified on request. Communal cleaning is good, though I personally don't use the communal kitchen or living areas. Noise level- generally quiet, but as student accommodation, occasional flat parties should be expected. Fire alarms- can be quite sensitive, though likewise more care could probably be taken by residents to open extractor fans/windows when cooking to avoid triggering the alarms. Social interaction- I think this varies depending on the floor that you live on. Personally, I don't interact with other residents that often but when I do people are generally very friendly. Post- there isn't really a system for signing for/receiving post at the building. I would recommend having post delivered to college/university address. Security- I haven't encountered any issues. Windows- tend to accrue condensation easily which leads to mould. Windows are single glazed. Plenty of sockets and plugs in rooms. Laundry- onsite laundry is really great, but you don't get much choice in terms of setting temperature/cycle. Laundry is expensive (£2.80 for a single wash, £2.00 for tumble dry and detergent is not provided). That said, it is very convenient, and there are also several laundrettes nearby (within 5 mins walk). Overall, I would definitely recommend Cambridge terrace. I think you can do far worse in terms of student accommodation; the location is really central, the rooms are clean and good quality and the services provided are good. The management team are also very helpful and friendly.

As a student living in Cambridge Terrace, I think that it has a great location. The staff is helpful, you just have to communicate with them. They are very responsive, and do their utmost to help. I personally think David Walker is of great help if you ever need anything. In addition, the prices are really good, especially for ensuite rooms. The only problem is the fire alarm, because it is really sensitive, so people trigger it easily most of the time (all rooms have their kitchens etc). I guess this provides too much Safety for some people. The people are fun and friendly, you get a well diversified group of friends here. I would say that the Common Room and the kitchen is sometimes a bit dirty, but this happens in most of the student accommodations anyway, because it is literally impossible to keep it clean at all times. Other than that, the hallways are always clean and there is no problem with regard to the hygiene in general. I would recommend Cambridge Terrace because David is a great guy, and the location is great.
