I would not recommend Parker House to anyone and wouldn't not even allow a dog to stay in it. On arrival day it was ok, there was plenty of people there to help you with your stuff, but to be honest they were needed because you only had 20mins to get it done which is not a lot of time when you are moving into a new flat so to say. Then at night they attempted to through a party in the common room which is absolutely tiny and trying to cram like 400+ people in was never going to work. Moving on I will tell you the few good things about Parker house. 1, it is extremely close to the university of Abertay which is extremely handy and is good if it's raining. 2, The people that they put in my flat were great and we didn't have any problems at all (However, this can't be assured for you) and 3, the maintenance staff were great, not a bad word to say about them, they were the most helpful and friendly people on site. Ok, now on to the bad things. Well if you would like to experience T in the Park every night for 42 or 52 weeks then this is the place for you, the noise for the place at night is absolutely ridiculous, now I'm not talking about when the clubs are closing and everyone's coming back, we experienced what we thought was someone with a bowling ally above us and also a brothal. You would get woken up at like 6 in the morning to loud music etc. Another thing we had was a weekly domestic situation going on next door which involved people fighting physically and screaming over pizza boxes. It was literally felt like we were live at the Jeremy Kyle show all the time, not only that we they felt like it they would barge through the 'alarmed' fire door and destroy stuff in our flat, to which the main staff done absolutely nothing about. So if you like people running through your hallway at all hours of the morning then Parker house is the place for you. Oh and the domestic situations are only helped by staff offering the person a cup of coffee, they don't do much else. The best member of staff left to be honest. Another thing was the laundry room, well basically that hardly ever worked and you would end up washing your clothes multiple times. Now it is said that students just like to sleep all day, well you won't get to do this at Parker house because you will have work men in your room ever second day, it got to the point where it became beyond a joke. You would get woken up early or you had to allow randomers access to your room all the time. The staff at Parker house are mixed, the maintenance people are great and 2 of the receptionist are alright, the manager depends what mood you get her in and she tends to talk down to you like you don't know what your talking about. So overall the experience is not great and I would not recommend.

Definitely the best place to stay in Dundee. Had a fab first year at Parker House and staying again next year. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Met some of the best people here.
Great location for both Abertay and Dundee University as within a short walk in distance to both and to the city centre! All staff members are wonderful as you can speak to them in confidence about any issues or problems with the maintenance team on hand to help fix any broken electrics or goods. Building is secure with the gates being locked to outsiders. I have met some wonderful friends in my flat that I consider to be friends for life! This is my second year at Parker House and have rebooked for a third.
Already signed up to stay at Parker House for a second year, the location is absolutely ideal-it's a two minute walk from Abertay uni and there are shops, clubs and restaurants all on the doorstep! The staff have been nothing but welcoming and are so friendly and understanding yet professional and efficient. There are plenty themed nights like Chinese New Year and Pancake Day where loads of food is supplied and it gives everyone a chance to meet each other. It feels far more like a community than just an accommodation. I literally couldn't recommend Parker House enough!!
Coming into the accommodation as a fort year was obviously a nerve racking experience, however Parker made sure it was as smooth as possible with friendly faces happy to help! Checking in was as simple as could be, just went in have your information and they made sure you got to your new room in a friendly and organised manner! The staff were so genuine and lovely and made me feel at home as soon as I stepped into the premises! Now I have been living here the past 7 months and I can honestly say with how pleasant the staff are and all the extra work and events they put in it's the best student living I could have asked for, if I could afford it again id be staying here the next year! The room is pretty basic but homely and comfortable and very secure and safe with locks on the gate, block, flat and room doors and it is so near the university so lie ins are able! Overall couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and the staff are like family to me now!
When you first arrive on site, you are welcomed by not only staff, but by students who have previous lived there or are continuing to do so which not only shows loyalty but comforts you to the fact that people only a year or so older than yourself have volunteered to help out and show us to our rooms and talk to us about our course and if we're excited and let us know about where to go and what to do in Dundee. The staff are absolutely amazing, to me personally they are like family, they treat us with so much respect and trust us undoubtably, they give us so much and in return we do the same. Coming from a rural area and being quite a shy person, it was outstanding how quickly I was able to make friends and make memories here which I couldn't have done without the help of parker house team, thank you so much!
Everyone is amazing, the office staff, the maintenance guys and even the cleaners. I stayed for 2 years and had the best time ever. Definitely the nicest halls in dundee that's why it's expensive but worth every penny. Any one coming in will love it.
Very pleased with all aspects of these halls, although expensive, well worth every penny. Staff are more than helpful and pleasant. Shame I won't be staying for second year but will always keep it in mind for 3rd year. Thanks for everything Parker House! :) X
Best decision I made was move into these halls for my first year at uni away from home. The initial management staff were unhelpful during the move in process which made me apprehensive about spending the most of the year here. However, the new management and staff came in and made it feel like a home away from home. There's a lot of opportunities to make new friends through social events like st Patrick's day, Chinese new year and valentines events.We were able to build relationships with the staff and could rely on them to help us if we had any problems. This place is awesome!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Parker House. I met some of the best people while staying here and the management staff were brilliant. The house had lots of events throughout the year which allowed you to meet the other people staying there.
Short walk to uni, really nice view from the higher floor flats, the lift is a life saver, really nice rooms, ensuite is a good thing. Staff are all really nice, friendly and helpful. Recommended.
I really enjoyed living here, yes it is quite expensive but the staff are all lovely, very helpful. The events that are put on for us ie Pamper night, rolls + sausage make up for the price and I don't know any other halls will do that. I would recommend it to anyone
Great staff and ensure residents have things to do; eg Christmas, valentines etc. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to students of any age.
Having lived here for over 2 years now, it is the ideal student environment. With the amazing transformation in management I would 100% reconsider returning for another year if it wasn't for the high end price tag. The staff, events, location couldn't be better and the plans for improvements to current amenity spaces sounds very exciting! I would highly recommend Parker House to any student in Dundee!

Great location for both unis & the city center. Fantastic attentive and resourceful staff who are always willing to help good social areas, common room etc.
Met lots of new people thanks to a great and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are easy to talk to and deal with any issues asap. Love it!

Since the new management took over the staff changes the halls changed completely for the better. The comfort and atmosphere was very homiey.
Good quality accommodation in a ideal location for both universities. Excellent management staff who are friendly and very helpful. A very social hall - lots of events.

Staff are fantastic at Parker House always willing to help and organise events which students all attend and enjoy. Location is great as its a two minute walk from Abertay University and 15 mins for Dundee. Also a five minute walk to the city centre. Rooms are well furnished to a high standard. Management team are always on hand at any point if there is any faults. Brilliant student halls to experience a good time whilst studying in Dundee.
First year in Dundee for University and I could not have chosen a better place. The location is central to the city centre and Abertay University and the grounds are secure. Maintainance staff and management are excellent and very accommodating with everything. Met good friends here at Parker House and will consider re-booking for my 4th year.
