Where to begin... The plasterboard walls, useless windows or the awful kitchen utilities. Having arrived at IQ Preston at the beginning of September in 2015 I thought this place looks lovely, the first few weeks were great but over time I've began to notice serious problems with these halls. For the duration of three weeks the security gate was pinned open with a couple zip ties... The cooker in the hall has no marking on it so you have to estimate what temperature it is on. My speakers can be heard from outside the flat in the corridor because all the interior walls are seem to be made out of cardboard. You'd think a place that charges £100 a week would be good quality. The flat consists of six rooms yet each flat is still only provided with one freezer with 3 shelves leaving half a shelf each.I mean what is up with that. Most students across the UK probably live from frozen food. The halls across IQ Preston 'Sanctuary Students' provide a TV per each flat, they cost of the standard rooms there are significantly lower than IQ's I just get the feeling from IQ Preston that the management doesn't really care about the well being of the students just about the money that goes into their pockets. The Receptionist are lovely, take great care of the parcels that come in to their reception daily. The handy man is a great bloke, it's not their fault this student accommodation is so poor. The people at the top of IQ Preston need to wake the up...

My room is massive but cold in winter months, had to buy extra heater. Bathroom fab recommending bringing own shower curtain and storing IQs till end of year. Kitchen is nice if kept clean, sofa area is rubbish and uncomfy, no TV. Repairs delt with quickly. Management friendly but not too helpful with flat mate conflict, run lots of events and discounts to club. Launderette overprice so I take washing home. Nice gated community but bins outside often overflowing and rubbish everywhere. But over all definitely the best halls, nicest inside and out and best perks!
