Studios near the London Road Campus
79 Silver Street is a studio-only student accommodation in central Reading, with 61 beds. Every studio is fully furnished, and sizes start at 31 m². Studio types range from classic and premium to deluxe and super deluxe, with an accessible deluxe studio and a premium double apartment too. Some studios also come with shorter tenancies, including 14 and 33 weeks, which can suit a single term or a placement. All utility bills are included, along with contents insurance and internet up to 200Mbps.
Living in central Reading
The building is a short walk from the University of Reading’s London Road Campus. The campus is home to the Institute of Education and teaches subjects such as music, drama, art, languages and deaf studies. The main Whiteknights campus is also within walking distance, so you can reach either site without a bus. Reading’s shops, restaurants and bars are close by, and Reading station has fast trains into London. The Thames and the Kennet meet in Reading, so riverside walks are never far away either.
Is it right for you?
It suits students who want their own studio in a small building with plenty going on. There’s an on-site gym, a residents’ lounge and a multi-use room for films, gaming and karaoke. You can book the private kitchen and dining room when friends come round, and there’s a free coffee counter for early starts. The front-of-house team also runs regular events, from breakfast club and yoga to boot camp and movie nights. When you need to focus, there are private study areas and an outdoor courtyard for a change of scene.
