University of Reading has its main Whiteknights Campus set within 130 hectares of parkland, located around two miles south of the town centre. It covers sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, and business through the Henley Business School. Where do students live in Reading

The area around Erleigh Road and Wokingham Road, stretching between the Whiteknights Campus and the town centre, is the most established student neighborhood, popular for private shared housing. The town centre itself has a high concentration of PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation), which is preferred by students who want to be close to Reading railway station and central amenities. The areas of Katesgrove and Whitley are also common choices, offering a mix of private apartments and halls within walking distance of the main university sites.

Getting around Reading

Reading is well-connected by regular bus routes, particularly the 21 and 21a services which run frequently between the Whiteknights Campus and the town centre. Reading railway station is a major transport hub, offering direct train services to London Paddington in around 25 minutes via Great Western Railway, as well as connections across the Elizabeth Line, and routes to Oxford and Birmingham.
