I stayed at Canto Court in my first year of university as well as in my third year. Rooms aren't the biggest but more than enough to store all my stuff and once you decorate it, it feels cosy. As a student, I feel that the size is perfect because otherwise, i will be spending more time and effort in cleaning my room instead of focusing on my studies. The accommodation itself is located in a handy spot with shops and restaurants near by as well as a metro stop only 4 minute away by walk. Any problems happen such as things breaking or an item to be repaired, the staff are helpful and issues get fixed as soon as possible and in my case, few hours. Security is always on site which will ensure that all my valuable items will be protected as well as my self. Without doubt one of the favorite places I stayed in during my time in London!

The staff have been very helpful throughout my stay. The maintenance team is also good, and deal with any issues very fast! This building has had a renovation not too long ago, you can really feel it in the rooms. With a bit of decoration and improvisation I made my place look much more cosy!

I moved here 3 years ago, and have been living here full-time. The staff have been very helpful for all of the time that I have stayed here. This accommodation is also situated in an extremely convenient place. Shoreditch is just around the corner and my university (City, University of London) is about 10-15 minute walk away. All in all, very content with this place.

Fully Recommended. It is a nice place to live in Central London, close to Oxford Street and Liverpool Street; where you can find a variety of places to eat and leisure. The rooms are very good, clean and looked like new as well as the common areas. Very friendly staff, always willing to help you!

I've just completed a year at Canto Court and can highly recommend it. The rooms are 'compact' but perfectly functional. The management team were both professional and friendly. I think it's a smaller development than many so it's easier to get to know people. The location is excellent. The walk into King's Strand campus would take me about 30 minutes, over to Waterloo would take about 40 minutes. On a rainy day, the bus or tube will get you to either in about the same time. There are plenty of places to eat and drink locally or it's short hop into Islington, Hoxton or Shoreditch. If you like cinema then the Barbican screens are about 5 minutes walk away - half price on Monday and even less on student Tuesdays :-)

They provide the best services and are the most efficient team I know. They have been very considerate and kind to me. Being involved in lots of trouble they have been very helpful.i will recommend every student to try out this place. Thank you marta ma'/am and all the staff for the stay I will never forget.????????

Rooms are also great - very spacious and with lots of storage!

reasonably sized rooms at an excellent location

4

Quality of rooms - 3.5 Fun/Atmosphere - 4.5 Location - 4.5
Safety - 4 Management - 4.5 Value - 3

Canto Court offer studio apartment for students at an excellent location. It is close to Old Street tube station (5 minutes walk), with several supermarkets (i.e. Coop and Waitrose) and fitness centres within the vicinity. An added bonus for those who are students of Cass Business School that is only 6 minutes away and food lovers; the Whitecross food market is just around the corner. With that being said, the place can get noisy at times - if your room is facing the street side it is quite a busy road, and if your room is facing the courtyard there are occasional "parties" at night. The windows are double-glazed, but there are times when the room gets too hot and have to let some air in. During the winter, the room can get rather cold as well, as the room heater is quite aged. The room kitchen is cute, with a standard two hobs and a microwave, but does not provide an oven for cooking. An excellent innovation for the room is the fold-able bed; you can get more space in the room if you fold the bed into the wall.

The management is always friendly and helpful. The social space is lively with a courtyard which can be used for BBQ, a billiard table, a mini-cinema and some study spaces. However, for the building of such size, the place have a lack of washing machines - there are only 3 in total. During peak times you have to wait to do the laundry. Also, the machines only accepts coins, as opposed to the newer card based ones available in other accommodations. The rental price is reasonable considering the property prices in London and the "premium" status of studio student accommodations. If you want to look for something less expensive then you might want to try shared accommodations or sharing an apartment with friends.

Overall I would recommend Canto Court for students looking for a reasonably sized bedroom with a private bathroom and kitchen.

Canto Court: Best Room Choice

4.5

Quality of rooms - 5 Fun/Atmosphere - 5 Location - 5
Safety - 5 Management - 5 Value - 4.5

The room in Canto Court is quite spacious compared to other university halls. The value for money is acceptable for first year students. The social space is very lively everyday so it is a nice place to meet new people. The room is soundproof when windows are closed so you won't get disturbed by the outside noises. The management team are very helpful regarding all the repairs or general enquiries. There is 24 hour security, ready to help in case of emergency. The location is surrounded by restaurants and is a walking distance to the university and case business school. The building and room decoration is so modern.

Overall, it is a great accommodation.

Canto court is a great place and experience to stay in. Perfect location.

A suggestion would be 24/7 security, and enquiries should be done faster (i.e. breakdowns, lockouts).

The life is always out of service.
Quality of room sucks.
The curtain the provided is only for decoration which is much smaller than the window.
The fridge stinks since I moved in.
Every single item need to be fixed on the day I moved in
Im wondering why they don't check and fix everything before.
This really cause me a lot of trouble on that day.
