DO NOT STAY not worth it! The elevators are consistently broken and garbage is left in hallways for days. Front desk staff is by far the worst thing about this place. My shower was broken for 3 weeks, I went down 4 times, the first 3 people who "helped" wrote down room # on a piece of paper and no one came to fix, the fourth finally entered it into their computer system and told me that was the only way it could get fixed (first three either did not care or didn't know how their own building works... either way yikes). Furthermore their guest policy is ridiculous they only allow one guest and even with one guest they find a way to screw up. I understand having to check in upon arrival, HOWEVER having to deal with waiting in line to recheck in EVERY TIME they enter is a pain in the ass and takes forever. When an underage guest stays you must complete paper work. I did this and they lost the papers three times... no apologies, were simply rude and did not understand why it was frustrating having to fill it out not once, not twice, but three times.

Overall, an average accommodation in my opinion the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits. Firstly the TV lounges are falsely advertised on all floors as throughout the stay it is only used as a storage room, my rooms personally the furniture isn't properly maintained and not in a very good condition. For the price that you pay you'd expect the staff to at least assist with a few services like printing university work which was not provided. A few of the facilities aren't fully functioning such as the screening room (limited seating etc) & games room no proper equipment is even usable. However, there are a few plus factors like the study rooms.
Very expensive and low-quality rooms, the bathroom is super small. There is no oven on the premises. Some of the staffs have no respects and not friendly, especially on the night shift. Moreover, during the late night, you will hear very loud annoying noise from certain people, usually every night!!!, they have no respect with other people.
Spitalfields is good as a location there's spitalfields market, many bars, places to eat etc but it's not really central.Kings cross is better if you want to be close to places like Oxford street or convent garden.As a fresher,I wish someone told me this earlier but do not stay here if you're a fresher, especially if you're from ucl. If you want a real university experience, stay in your uni's hall.but if you want a city experience you can stay here but there are not many freshers around here and people usually hangout with people from their nations.don't come here if you don't know anyone, this place is not really friendly.And staff, especially the manager is not helpful at all, they don't care about residents,their main purpose is money.It shouldn't be like this.They see us as clients not as students.It doesn't worth on the money you spend, trust me!!!!!!!
Hello, I'm a Chinese student. Initially I thought that this "luxury accommodation" was going to life changing and a new start for me but the "luxury" entailed in all the advertisement ends with the lobby. First off, I've been made to move 2 times to no fault of my own, I was coerced into moving into a terrible apartment as supposed compensation with no working appliances and no facilities to make the move quicker, I wa snare to move at 1am during the dissertation period. I lived here for one year and not once did I feel relaxed or composed. The front desk staff bar two are absolutely not trained in customer service - I've never felt more victimized and mistreated before. Most of the time they will half-listen to your query, act as if you're burdening them with a sigh and help you half heartedly which ended up making me feel like I should go to them for help, I remember having to pluck up the courage to tell them I was locked out of my room through fear of another sigh and dirty look. I'm currently moving out and this experience is the cherry on top of the cake - I have not received an email about my end of lease information so knowing at have until 11:59 on the day of it ending I've not been told I have to move out NOW with no time and I'm scrambling to plan a moving facility and they're all ganging up on me tearing me like an animal because I didn't plan. But I did, I've tried to move out for days but when you live on the 28th floor you need a facility to move boxes in bulk which they do provide but all of them are missing - making it difficult even more for me. I'm now leaving this place and I hope never to return , I'm disgusted.
The building itself is ok but not as fancy as they'd like you to believe. They seem to be trying to impress people with their modern style (black walls and open pipes etc). Overall it feels like they're trying too hard. The staff are ok but not amazing. They don't always listen to what you have to say. Rooms are bright and nicely laid out but small for the money. There are much better houses nearby for a lower price. The location is good but you're just paying for overdone styling and the name rather than having a really nice room. Can get pretty noises at times so not ideal for studying.
I had a two bedroom apartment and it was really really small.The shower was small and not functional. Not worth the money. The parcels were often a hassle, you could only collect it certain times of the day and there was usually a queue. They even lost one of my parcels worth 200£ due to the amount of parcels they were getting a day (could not manage it well). Safe, but you could only have guests stay certain nights a month and had to leave id everytime they go in.
