really nice service
Love it! Chapter portobello has been an amazing experience so far! Yes it is slightly pricey but its a great location and totally worth it! the staff are so kind and really welcoming, always friendly and do whatever they can to help! Especially the manager Laura- Jayne whom go's out of her way to help out her residents and really cares about everyone, which I feel is really important! The place is always kept clean and overall is such a great place to live, I couldn't of asked for more! I would defiantly recommend to any student studying in London!
Living at Chapter Portobello has been the best choice I made in moving down to London. Whilst not directly in Notting Hill the beautiful building is suited in a vibrant area near Portobello road. There is easy access to all major parts of London. Whilst on the pricey side of things you most definitely get what you pay for, all the facilities there are great both to study and work. I can confidently say that my experience of chapter has been wonderful. No matter where you are from or what you study you find that there is a great sense of community in the building and making friends from all over the world has been a breeze. The staff and management team at Chapter have made the experience of living there completely stress free and are always happy to go the extra mile to help you out which has truly outdone every expectation I had of accommodation management. I have recommended Chapter to friends coming to London and now highly recommend it to you too.
I'm a studying musician who's just seen the reviews people have left on here and feel compelled to say that I'm shocked at the negative reviews. This is my second stay at Chapter Portobello but absolutely not my last. Everything is clean and functional and the facilities are fantastic. The staff is so great and is always around to help (Mustafa is amazing)
I have been living in Nido Notting Hill (now Chapter Portobello) for over 4 months now and am very disappointed in my living situation. The building was falsely advertised. Though it might technically be in Notting Hill, the location is definitely more in the Ladbroke Grove/Kensal neighbourhood. Portobello Road is not really very close (25 min walking to the closest end of it - not the Notting Hill Gate end of it) and the area right around the building is by no means an 'up and coming' area.' I actually feel very unsafe here, especially at night. The canal is not lit at all, nor is the park that you go through on the way to Westbourne Park tube station. There is only a grocery store nearby, nothing else within walking distance. The rooms themselves are small, there is no oven, just a stove and microwave. There is only a mini fridge in each apartment also. The front desk staff on the whole are not very welcoming and do not respond to front desk emails very promptly - if at all. No sense of community in the residence as it's half empty (couldn't sell many rooms). The guest policy is good, however, renting a cot (which is necessary since the beds are extremely small) is 30 pounds a night which is double the price of a hostel. Overall, ridiculously overpriced and does not meet expectations.

I've lived in the building for roughly one month and it has been a horrible experience. My room was dirty upon move-in and the walls are covered in tape and scruff marks. Some of the advertised amenities were missing as well. The staff (with some exceptions) have been rude and act as though they are being inconvenienced by requests for information or help. Most recently, the tea kettle provided began leaking and my phone, which was charging on the counter, was exposed to water and has now stopped working- won't even turn on. When brought to their attention, the staff asked to see the kettle and I agreed and went to class. Upon returning, they showed me a kettle in the back, claimed they had taken it from my room and told me it was not leaking. They refuse to compensate me for the damage or admit that their kettle was at fault. Not only that, but I was treated exceedingly rudely. Do not live here, you will regret it.
Friendly and service minded staff. It's not in notting hill but location is alright. Very good bus transport nearby. A 24/7 bus from Oxford circus stops right in front of the door. Good gym and laundry. Good events and student life and people are really chill. A big pricey but worth it
