94 en-suite rooms a short walk from Goldsmiths
Dean House London has 94 en-suite rooms in New Cross, south-east London, within walking distance of Goldsmiths, University of London. In addition, the rent includes all utility bills.
There are three room types: Ensuite, Classic Ensuite Wet Room and Premium Ensuite. Every room has a private bathroom, a three-quarter bed and a study desk with space for books.
The Classic Ensuite Wet Room has a level shower floor with no tray. As a result, some students find this layout easier to use and to keep clean.
Contracts run for 50 weeks across all room types. However, the standard Ensuite also comes on a 43-week contract, which suits students who don’t need the room for the whole summer.
Shared kitchens and a courtyard garden
The building has refurbished bedrooms and shared kitchens. Students cook in communal kitchens with their flatmates.
Outside, a courtyard with picnic-style benches works like a shared back garden. For example, you can eat there, study outdoors or meet students from other flats.
Internet speeds reach up to 200Mbps, and the bills cover the connection too. So you can stream, join video calls and follow online lectures without a separate contract.
Booking terms also include No Visa, No Pay and No Place, No Pay. If the Home Office refuses your visa, you can cancel without penalty. Likewise, you can cancel if your university cancels your course or doesn’t offer you a place. Terms and conditions apply.
Is Dean House right for you?
The building sits between New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. Both stations offer London Overground and National Rail services into central London and across the south-east of the city.
It suits Goldsmiths students first, because the main campus is a short walk away. Students at the University of Greenwich can also reach their campus by public transport.
New Cross has a reputation for independent cafés, bars and a creative scene. Shops, takeaways and restaurants also line the main roads around the building.
Choose it if you want an en-suite room, bills included and a short walk to class. Finally, you can compare more options on our student accommodation in London page.
