Goodenough College, London

I am 2nd year PhD student and I joined Goodenough last year. The location couldn't be better - it is just 2 min away from my UCL department. It is very close to Russell Square, Holborn and King's Cross. Basically I walk everywhere. I live in a single room (type B) and my room is very spacious (wash basin, desk, wardrobe, shelves, bookcase, refrigerator). Cleaning for the rooms is taking place once a week and for shared bathrooms on a daily basis. I have enjoyed a lot the community life as there are lots of events going on (talks, formal dinners, concerts, student get togethers etc) and there is a range of clubs and societies that one can choose from. I was member of the Running club, data science, salsa society and theatregoers. The rent is not cheap but it is great value for money considering the location, the size of the room and all the facilities (library, bar, cafe, private garden and subsidised prices for meals).
